They are 2 separate code spaces

Thanks for all the feedback.  I was afraid this was the answer.  Gotta get my Droid Commanders redeemed.  Still on the fence about the Space Ride.  I plan to buy the Chinese NY Temple Fair at some point, but might have better return on a Xmas GWP (assuming the Fair set is still around) as opposed to another Space Ride.

Yeah there are two separate boxes - but it is very unclear and has unintuitive code naming that throws you off.

It's a trap. 

Facebook keeps recommending a lot of shady sites (knock off LEGOs, etc) - it is a big issue. Some so bad that I even reported a couple shady-sites to LEGO for IP violations - like....shameless LEGO ripoffs.

Those are knock off sites.  Stay away.

Droid promo is gone...right as my most recent order shipped (the one that would have bumped my VIP points to the required level to grab one of these). 😟

The promo codes still seem to be applying, even though you can no longer redeem for them.

I redeemed one the other day....saving the other for May 4th event. Hopefully they still work.

How are you able to apply a code to an item that's no longer redeemable? These literally just sold out, so I'd love to still be able to get one if it's possible.

Most likely if they sold a code, they held back an item to honor it.

Ahhh, I understand. I'm just bummed I never even got a chance to request one. I was just short on VIP points, so put a quick order in yesterday to bump mine up. It actually shipped today, and now I have just enough points to redeem....but alas, sold out. Story of my life!

I kept it simple. Did two separate orders for Boba Fett helmets with one promo each. Hope it works.

Actually just got off the phone with LEGO customer service. Explained about the VIP points snafu, and that I was really hoping to grab one of these for my son since we missed out on the last one. Very nice rep named Eric is shipping us one for free...just because. How cool is that?

these have been a bit scarce lately...I'm thinking Ebay has been doin pretty well thru all this...coupon popping up must mean it's quarterly earnings reporting time coming up...they are hoping to juice their numbers a bit...I have been thinking of getting into the stock

same here.  Thankfully, apart from the minifig, the parts for the tree look to be common and ~$70.  I think I'll go that route if I want to build one.
