Easter Egg seems to be back, so add somethign that will ship now, even though it wont arrive in time for the holiday.

Mario set is really starting to grow on me. Full of nostalgia. Hopefully we see Yoshi. I wonder if main story-line characters will have the tech included like Mario?

Based on early reviews, I'd avoid this set. Sonic1111 is very disappointed. 

That extra gift is great. I'm assuming it will be for sale at some point down the road, but if not, I could definitely see it being desirable as people set up Mario "runs" on their shelves. 

My problem is that the free item doesn’t add to your chart. The only thing that adds is the Easter egg promo

If you're into Trolls, spend $35 and you get another GWP that will make them ship now. I was able to get the Egg, Troll and Mario GWPs.

Double VIP points on the Trolls village and concert sets as well.  Which has me on the fence.  How much do I want to mess around with some of those new pieces?

is the easter egg gone now? it no longer adds to the cart nor shows up on order summary page before placing order.

From Brickset, it appears there's a separate GWP if pre-ordering from IWOOT.  I like the LEGO Shop at Home one better but for those that want two starter kits, you can get two different GWPs.

Looks like they ran out of pre-orders indeed. The "Waiting on new stock" just means that they are waiting for the Aug 1st in-stock date to ship out your order. My add-on items are In-Warehouse now, including my Easter Egg GWP.

Regarding GWPs, based on the set number (40414), it indeed looks like this Mole set is a GWP and not a regular set. The IWOOT Mushroom is a polybag based on the set number (and on Brickset's information). I'm guessing 40414 reappears during launch in August as a limited GWP.

Ok, when I found out about the Mario GWP this morning, the Easter Egg GWP wasn't showing up so I just assumed it was all gone. I made the pre-order with nothing to deliver immediately and then a little while after I saw the order status with the Egg promo. Am I out of luck?

 

@MrToes16 i did the same exact thing. curious what has happened to others in this situation. i actually emailed LEGO and am awaiting a response. i see no reason they couldn't just send out the GWP anytime.

You might get lucky. Good idea to reach out because otherwise you definitely won't get the promo. This is where that keychain you've had your eye on comes in handy when you place an order like this.

i do find it a bit odd that their system cannot pick up that you only have a pre-order in your cart if this is truly in fact some sort of policy of theirs to only ship GWP's with in-stock purchases. guess we'll see.

Shipping GWP's for in-stock items has always been LEGO's policy. That is why when you purchase a pre-order or backordered item you always get something in stock as well. So the GWP ships with the in stock item.

sure, but if i only have a pre-order in my basket, why does it add? or at least flag to state that i need to add an in-stock item to get the GWP?

if i was a new shopper on LEGO Shop at Home I would be fully expecting the GWP. and would be pretty bummed if i didn't get it. at what point would LEGO have told me otherwise?
