Been able to order 999 on Amazon for a month now too.  I don't think anything retired this year. 95% of all "retired" sets still in stock on Amazon or Wal-Mart.

I would think the Snake is most expensive, although this was much different look than the other animals

Snake is most expensive new and sealed.  If you’re building, it’s just a repurposed old 3-in-1 set (6914) with a few extra red bricks and 1 exclusive print which you can still find on Bricklink for $3...

I posted this in the Meijer Clearance thread last night, but currently additional 30% off clearance sets there, some stores have signs up, others don't, but it should pop up on an in-store price scanner. I wasn't planning on even buying 1. I just meant the 500 for anybody that wants to do that. I while sit and watch how this plays out. Who knows, this set might be so overproduced you can buy them for quarters!

Thought I found great deals on all kinds of figs at the albuquerque comiccon.  Three vendors with huge inventories, all were knock offs.  Very disappointing.  Each vendor referred to them as custom.  I did get Carl weather's signature though for 60 dollar daily deal.

I just received a monumentally underwhelming 5% eBay bucks offer.
