The Space & Copter is consistently 50% off.  Hagrid's and the SW set have different prices depending.  The storage bricks are all $15, Creative $40.  And I've only found the people once and forgot what I paid, but it was nice.  The Friends set has not changed at $37 something.

I'm still waiting for my Costco to discount space rocket to $50.

Confused by this. LEGO 31102 https://m.kohls.com/product/prd-4143293/lego-creator-3in1-fire-dragon-31102-building-kit.jsp?prdPV=8&userPFM=legos&diestoreid=365&selectShip=true
shows available for pick up, on sale, but unavailable from LEGO until the new year. Guess they cracked the case open early?

Popped into a Kohl’s on my way home tonight and the LEGO section was completely reset with almost all new 2020 sets across all themes except SW.

1 of the 3 Costco near me hadn't discounted the Creator Twin Rotor Helicopter yet, so at self-checkout (this Costco has that!) I talked to a manager about the price differences between warehouses.  He said if the price ends in a 7 it is a corporate mandated cut and all warehouses will follow, but for "discretionary items" like holiday toys each warehouse manager has the authority to discount merchandise or not.  Then he offered me $5 off (and I said thanks and declined).  So when you're searching inventory and you find a Costco with a bunch, be advised they may not be discounted at all.

Lol......no.  Prices ending in a 7 are from corporate yes, but it doesn't mean all warehouses in a region will have that same price.  You can have 2 warehouses 10 miles apart and one will get the update to discount and the other might not depending on inventory and sales levels.  If an item ends in a 00 then that means it was a specific markdown done at that warehouse by a manager.

Well, since there's not much going on in this forum right now I can add to the Costco pricing banter.

There's a ton of Costco's where I'm at.  I've bought HP's for three different prices, Copters for 50%, SW Battle for two different prices and the Space set for 50% -- until today.  For the first time I found the Space sets for 60% off today.

Every single purchase I've made, at every price, had a 7 at the end.

Same here. Just left Costco here in Phoenix and Space set was further marked down to $39.97

So strange. I feel like we’ve been seeing a lot of deep discounts  on unexpected sets  this year. Is this a trend?

I don't know if its because there are fewer people in the reselling game. It seems like lots of sets which would have sold out very quickly before, lingered a bit this year. Saturn V at discount is an example I can think of. Stock isn't moving like years past. The big discounts have been a nice change. Recent SAH sales on big retiring sets may be a sign that demand is falling...

Yes, that means it came from corporate.

Target says Merry Christmas and raises their sale prices back up.

All good things come to an end. One thing I’ve learned over the years. Don’t wait for a better deal. If you get one, great. Most times you lose out.

Merry Christmas fellow BP’ers, hope you all have a great day. Should be a fun and eventful 2020.

These small Sterlite 3-drawer plastic storage containers are $6.57 each at Wal-Mart but there's a 6-pack available for $19.81 which is half off unit pricing.  Great little stackable containers, drawers don't fall out easy.  Last week I snagged a 4-pack of the 5-drawer ones for $17 which was a steal, those are $9.99 everywhere else.

Sterilite, Small 3 Drawer Unit, White, Case of 6 - $19.81 (50% off)

I’m a little surprised to see such a lack of items on clearance this morning at Target. In fact, not one Lego was clearanced. Do we know if Target will be starting their clearance?

Are the advent calendars from 2019 something worth picking up on clearance for resale in 2020?

For the right price I think Harry Potter yes, others no. HP will at least have some exclusive parts/figures for a while.

Target had stuffed marked down at several stores I stopped at, same with Wally. Target 30%, Wally some up to 50.
The bigger surprise was Costco pulling all the toys from the stores headed for points unknown.
it could be at your store they either hadn’t gotten to them yet, or hadn’t stickered. Not much worth buying regardless.
