December 8, 20196 yr My son tried to get me to do this today.....I chickened out....might have to reconsider. How much to people think the promo eventually goes for? (batmobile not GBH). Cheapest right now on eBay is $80. I suspect once the hype is done and they start to disappear the mini will hold solid value at $100. It’s identical to the large model and even has the same stand so they look great together.

Also it didn't last all that long online....I think when it said limited edition it was actually pretty limited

December 8, 20196 yr Props late nighter!Discover 5% back at Target this quarter.14.5% off total, so $300 Target GC for $256.50
December 8, 20196 yr So what is the advantage of getting a target gift card? You don't get the extra 5% with the target card when you buy it and then when you use it, you only get 5% off the remaining balance of an item. Unless you are getting this for an actual gift, I am failing to see situations that this is really advantageous.

Only on what is left. So you lose the 5% twice. My brain could be interpreting this wrong though ha. Might need to come up with an example.
December 8, 20196 yr Taking sales tax out of it. Buy a $100 item with red card, it costs $95. Buy a $100 item with gift card from this deal, it costs $90. We can also throw in additional gains with credit card points if you purchased the gift card with a regular credit card.
December 8, 20196 yr When you use a gift card you also get 1% back through Target Circle. I bought using PayPal with my Chase Freedom Card so I’ll get 5% cash back for that too.

My main point was not getting the 5% red card discount when you buy the gift card and then you don't get the 5% when you actually use the gift card. You will come out on top using the gift but it is not as much. When I bought a tv with the earlier gift card discount, I came out spending the same amount rather I bought the discounted gift card or just used the 5% red card discount due to tax.
December 8, 20196 yr This gift card deal saves you 5% over just using a redcard. I'm not sure there's any other way to look at it

No You don’t get 5% off when you buy target gift card you get 10% off!
December 8, 20196 yr I use the Wallet feature in the Target app. I can add gift cards as additional payment options. Thus I still get the Red Card/Circle 5% even when using gift cards as part (or all) of my payment. I'm not a reseller like most of you guys, however. Just a regular guy looking for deals for his kid's expensive LEGO habit.

December 8, 20196 yr Nothing's really jumping out at me from target right now though to get the $10/50 giftcards.

It is just a workaround for Redcard pathetic credit limit. Percentage wise you do not save that much money
