Placed my first order since 2015 on SAH last night when the Gingerbread went live.  Still have not received an email and it doesn't show up on their site either.  The charge/authorization does however show up on PayPal.  Is this normal?  Can I place another order this morning without worry?

It's been so long since the ban I'm not sure what to do . . .

Just in case, I  always screenshot my order confirmation page with the order number and products ordered.  Because sometimes they do take forever to send the confirmations.  That way I at least have proof of the order in case I need to call them later due to a website glitch.

now you can check store inventory with 2 options in stock and out of stock in any LEGO stores just type city name927788480_Screenshot2019-12-06at05_58_12.thumb.png.f3a57336dd479a5094b4c5cc6c8f0bc5.png

Showing that a store has stock does not guarantee that same store will price match LEGO Shop at Home.

Last May I tried haggling with the LEGO store for their last UCS Snowspeeder.  LEGO Shop at Home was sold out but still had the price @ $140.  I even showed them the website.  My local store wouldn't budge from their price of $180 and claimed that LEGO dictates what they can and cannot sell it for.  I reasoned that LEGO Shop at Home still had it listed for $140, wouldn't that authorize them to do the same?  They said no, because LEGO Shop at Home is not managed the same as brick and mortar stores.

That was my experience last May.  Perhaps things have changed since the website was updated with the "check store stock".   If someone has a different experience, I'm all ears because I'd love to know how they were able to get a price match.

That's why I always call the store beforehand...

If you're logged in, they will ask you to enter your email address and name since it's far below LEGO's asking price.  Beware of the Ban Hammer.

You can attempt to bypass this by logging out and purchase this without logging in and preferably with a different credit card.

My Lego store still has some Batmobile promos left. I have two already. Should I get another?

Not big savings, but https://www.fleetfarm.com/ has some sets that aren't discounted often (yet) for 20% off. Includes Harry Potter Clock Tower, Rocket Launch Control, Downtown Fire Brigade, Lloyd's Titan Mech, and others.

A couple of hidden gems in there....thanks for the heads up!

What are you doing with the big one? I also bought two. I didn't want to sit on the large sets so I sold each at a $40 loss. So I got the two minis and gwps along with the points for $40 a set. Tempted to get a third but it's a hassle moving the large set. Seems to be a slow seller right now.

Seriously? Who is buying at that price? Some people are crazy.

The Amazon customers are a different breed....

People who are rich and lazy. Just the person I like.

Rich yes. Lazy? Maybe they are earning much more $$$  instead of using the time hunting for deals.

They are our customers, they have much more (generally) disposable income and don’t need to “hunt” for deals or have the time to search stores.
I’m sure they are not lazy in their occupation, and as long as they have the money to spend there will always be a market for us to make a few bucks.

Win-win!

(We have the time, they have the money)
