Great! Yeah, I can only find these at $20 I would totally buy if they were $13ish or less. I am still mad at myself for not buying the pop up book when it was 41.99 on AMZ on sunday. I was greedy and was hoping for it to go to 38.99 for prime day. now it is back at 54.99 and I am sulking.

I didn't realize how impressive the box is for that (popup book). You don't expect it, but it actually is massive!

This was 146.99 yesterday but then it went out of stock. Now it is back in stock at 160

Ditto... the only set I ever bought from Kohl’s that turned into instant gold.  Went to every store in South Eastern Wisconsin and grabbed them up at $11.  Had a trunk full, wife saw and got upset, don’t worry they will be all sold in a couple weeks.  As promised they were sold and paid off the CC + got kohls cash.  Had people buying bulk from me at $25 each. ?

And your point?  Any given moment on eBay you can get this set at the same price as Amazon Prime Day discount if not less when you take tax into account... so where’s the deal?

Unfortunately knowing that the knock off Voltron exists for less than $75 makes it still seem expensive.  Sad but true.  Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive set but with all of the other Voltron toys out there (I still have the Matchbox version) it's just not a must buy for me.

I personally wouldn't compare a Mathcbox anything with a LEGO anything...apples and oranges.

 

That said, any large set bought currently is at least a 1 year past EOL hold (IMO)...so imagine if you will...being fresh out of the cave and seeing that a set like this exist...it would be a must buy on any new AFoL's list. Voltron, SAturn V, Ford Mustang...
