new horde will go for this.  old hordes are still burned by blue cargo train probably...

Is that burned good, or burned bad?  I thought the last 3 did pretty well.

The blue one can be found for sub $200 on eBay pretty easily from what I can see.

Train sets (especially the powered ones) at decent discounts are winners.

Oh wow, I guess it's time to shop. Thanks!

That isn't including shipping.

Its all relative to buy in.  The Blue one was available a few times for around 50% off, and is currently selling for over 50% markup on amazon.  Pretty good return.  If you bought closer to 30% and are only selling on ebay then its pretty bad.

this new one also has the added unknown of the new drive system.  not tuned into the train crowd so I dont know how its being viewed.

I was gonna say, I was clearing $100.00 profit on those so I don’t really call that getting burned.

What was the typical hold time on these for you?

60198 is still an Amazon exclusive, correct? Will it open up to other outlets soon - or will it be more like a short lifespan on this, since it is relatively new for a train. debating if this is a good investment or will be a long hold.

Doubtful. Maybe in store.

The 2.0 PF function motor and remote are worth it. Pure signal!

The original Falcon, some cool minifigs (set seems unlikely to ever be reissued) - it's gotta be good.

Come on, stop spilling the secrets that are obvious.

I've heard this before about sets and every time The Who song Won't Get Fooled Again starts playing in my head and just about every time I end up buying one.

I just can't pull the trigger on it. Feels like nobody prefers this Falcon and the figures are really only applicable to a movie that did poorly.

I'm not saying that you can lose by buying the set but it's a pretty large box and I just can't see it getting back up to MSRP
