I got the WOOTPROMO coupon auto-applied as well, for the same price. I'm not sure if it's for new customers, or what... I tried to figure out where it came from, and read in one case that it's to offset shipping and in another case that it's a 10% off deal for new customers who pay with amazon... but neither of those things seem to add up?

Missed out while in cart. WOOTPROMO is for "first-time orders" per the message I got upon trying to apply.

Whatever the case, I'm certainly not complaining! In for 1 @ $220.74 after tax! Shoulda bought more.

Did anyone order >1 and happen to see if the coupon value multiplied by qty?

It's a max of $50 off promo, in for 2. 2 for 458, not bad at all.

Aha! Thanks! In that case I suppose I feel slightly better about only grabbing the one, but maxing out the promo is never a bad thing.

this has been posted, but its good that Musikyle brings attention to it as it says 1# best seller in model toy sales right now so it might be good to buy a few now before it poofs.

I think this is an awesome set, but the ranking you want to look at is "Building Sets".

Is the WOOT deal gone?  I can't find it anywhere on that stupid site.

Yup, it's gone. Sold Out.

Even better deal on The Docks, if you have AMEX.

$115.95 / 50%

Amazon price is $180. Then use that 20% off scan coupon, then AMEX MR points (spend 1 point to activate discount) for an additional 20% off.

Docks for $143.99 is a killer deal. I have a feeling it’s going to be an expensive weekend.

Is it worth taking a risk on Amazon's shipping?  I have heard horror stories on box conditions.   Can anyone answer before i purchase?

It's a crap shoot. With larger sets though, it SHOULD be fine.  Smaller sets either come in a box...or a bubble parcel.

Never had an issue, and if I did getting amazon to fix it is painless.

Horrible shipping in Houston.

Small boxes in bubble mailers, large sent bare with label slapped on side. CS has been good to me but unable to rectify the actual problem.

I think everyone gets pretty awful shipping. It just depends on a few things. For me we are really close to a shipping facility, so it doesn't have a lot of transfers.

IWOOT.com (not to be confused with the earlier mentioned Woot.com which is a different site altogether) has a few sets on sale. Amongst others:

70618 Destiny's Bounty: $114.99 (MSRP $159.99)

42070 Technic 6x6 All Terrain Tow Truck: $239.99 (MSRP $289.99)

42077 Technic Rallye Car: $84.99 (MSRP $109.99)

42080 Technic Forest Machine: $119.99 (MSRP $149.99)

42081 Technic Volvo Concept Loader: $99.99 (MSRP $139.99)

70654 Dieselnaut: $89.99 (MSRP $109.99)

42078 Technic Mack Anthem: $139.99 (MSRP $179.99)

Not sure how much of a “deal” this is, but the Stranger Things art print is still available with the purchase of the set. Just use code “GONE” at checkout. Combined this with the Christmas in July promo.

DB is showing OOS for me.  Many others must be more susceptible to temptation.

Stopped in my local Lego store to see if anything else was on sale, nada. But I did speak to the manager who knows me well and asked her what we could expect the sales items to be over the next two days, as I didn't want to burn my points if something better was coming along tomorrow.

Was told that tomorrow will be another Ideas set (they were overstocked with Ship in a Bottle and Flintstones), and Sunday will be one of the larger Creator 3 in 1 set. They were overstocked with Pirate Coasters and Sunshine Surfer Vans... so one of those would be my guess.

60204  Hospital for $62.99  in and out of stock on walmart.com. Limit 1 per order but allowing multiple orders?

The daily 'christmas in july' sets have rotated on LS@H.  The Pop-Up Book set is off-sale, and the Pirates Coaster is now on-sale for $63 (30% off)

Thanks for the update.  Tough promotional timing when both Wal-Mart and Amazon are offering the very same set for $57.99.  I suppose at least with LEGO Shop at Home you get a few goodies and VIP points for $5 extra but still.  I picked up a couple of these for $35 last Wal-Mart clearance season, I'm hoping for a couple more around the same price!

I agree.  add in the VIP-change fiasco still roiling and the uninspiring GWP , I haven't found any reason to actually place a LS@H order.
