HP sets are live at BN.com.  Double VIP (while its active) on LEGO Shop at Home might be better than BN retail + 10% member discount (unless you have some gift cards to burn).  They're essentially the same, value-wise but when I shop at LEGO Shop at Home I get charged 6% sales tax but if I buy locally at BN I get charged 7% sales tax.

    Doesn’t it make more sense to wait until those sets are on sale for 20% rather than going DVIP?

    It's different seeing the HP sets being exclusive to BN, and the new City Space sets being exclusive to Target.  Wal-Mart tends to come out of the gate with 20% off.  The "exclusivity" of these two series to BN and Target (and LEGO Shop at Home) makes it a bit harder to find a deal at release.

    Thanks for this info. So Wally or Amazon might not ever get these Space of HP sets...interesting, I figured they would be everywhere.

    Hard to say, never say never with Lego and "exclusives"... at least right away, it certainly seems challenging to get a good deal.  I like the Lunar Space Station, but would prefer $48.00 as opposed to $59.99 right now... best choice I have is double VIP or Target + 5% red card...

    They will be there.  Target and B&N only have a 1 month exclusively!  Just like last year Harry Potter was exclusive at Target for July, then everywhere in august.

    Ugh, so I was the sucker who chose this set to buy today in the Lego Store just by chance at the 20% off. Do I really return it over the saved $3 since it did get me $10 in VIP? Yeah I know...but my girls really like this movie (2 and 4) and pretty much have a dance party when they watch either this one or the first one.
