Scheels has a few decent deals.

I just knew that this set was going to be a winner and went in fairly heavy.  Now, it's the set that won't go away.  it was supposed to have retired in June and LEGO Shop at Home has been sold out since then but, everywhere else........

No, on SD this morning

Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs Tie Interceptor (75348) is on sale at Costco for $59.99. Looks like it's only good through the weekend, but no limit. YMMV.

I almost want to buy this so that I can get the Chandler Bing minifig and then put it in the hot tub that I have on one of my MOCs.

Waaaaayyyyy too soon. And I have a macabre sense of humor.

Never too soon.  As Anthony Jeselnik stated (I paraphrase) mourners are too busy doing mourner **** to be reading BrickPicker and getting offended.  Besides, if I wait, some jackhole will have bought up all the Chandler Bing minifigs and raised the price.

The box is very heavy and filled with dense contents.

Yeah I picked one up once at the Lego store. I will never build it and grabbed 1 because it is the current set with most number of pieces. Who knows maybe it will hit $500 someday.

ETA: I am sure there are some good MOCs out there will have to look.

ETAA: Poof

I'm not sure I would order all 3 at once.  Would rather order separately.  In for 1 for now

I think this is spot on.  For the first time in a bit we are going to have a buyers market this holiday season.  No more cash infusions from the government, student loans have resumed, and interest rates have risen faster than wages resulting is less disposable income for the average Joe.  There is a strong likelihood that many companies, including Lego, ramped up production after the post covid boom when money was flowing that will cause supply demand ratio that is 180 from a couple of years ago.  Quite a few companies have lowered guidance for this quarter already due to weak sales projections

Me personally, I'm not biting on anything now and I think we will see 50 - 70% off on some sets for the first time in forever.  The sets the poster mentioned are ones that have been poor performers for Lego and I think they are trying to move them now while there is not a lot of other sales going on.

Just my two cents.  Not a frequent poster but I find this **** fascinating.

Good Luck

Lego is producing too many sets nowadays. The Art picture sets especially are unnecessary. Expensive puzzles that appeal to a niche consumer. Even the world map at $150 is meh.  Lego is losing its cachet.

This is correct.  Peak demand was around Easter 2021 and a decent bump again during 2021 holiday season.  Toy market has been all downhill since then and the companies kept producing at Covid demand levels.  Not to mention all the delayed shipments of stuff that was overproduced and arrived after the demand was gone.  Lately, it seems like a lot of licensed stuff (Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) is suffering from lack of interest in the underlying movies/TV shows.  Seems like a strange crossroads in pop culture history right now.
