i don't think average person walking down aisle even looks at the age on a set.

the reason this set is killed is off is there are no marvel, dc, or star wars minifigures inside and it looks like it was the winner of a children's lego design contest from the 1970s.

wait til people loading up on this find out there is no amazon listing.

And I'm not even sure POBB and the castle are selling that well. POBB went very quickly and the castle went to limit 5 and was never sold out.

The N1 and Vader/Kenobi are both clearance in OKC @ $29.97. They have a ton of the duel, but N1 was nearly gone this afternoon.

zero mass appeal. as pointed out by others, once nostalgia glasses are off, for the modern kid / adult this is as not a design that is appealing. it does win rave reviews for value and building techniques and nice printed pieces but fundamentally its just a weird looking old ship. apollo over this by a factor of a billion to the modern customer.

Not everyone.....up to 8 now in my personal collection.  These and the alternate builds are the workhorse of my Fleet
