June 1, 20223 yr I now see the book showing as limit 1. Are others seeing this as well? It started as limit 5. It would be odd I’d think to have a limited edition of 5000 books and for them to allow people to buy 5 copies. I wonder if that was a mistake and they quickly changed it to limit 1. June 1, 20223 yr So last night when the new Lego sets went on sale. One item I really wanted was a limited edition Lego Technics Ferrari Coffee Table Book. Limited to 5000 copies. I quickly jumped online at midnight. Website was overloaded for about 20 minutes before it would actually load. Then I got to order the book and it said “limit 5”. Holy crap! I’ll get 4 then. I bought 2 in 2 separate orders to get gift with purchase from it. Then I noticed a few minutes after I ordered that they changed the limit to 1. But I was confused. Since I ordered 4 of the 5 limit I thought maybe it showed as limit 1 because I had already used up 4 of my purchases. SO I didn’t really think anything about it. Then this morning the book is sold out and I get 2 email notifications from lego that my orders were cancelled for exceeding purchase limits. So I called Lego today and talked to customer service. Lady on phone confirmed that they had a major error and it never should have said limit of 5. And all orders over 1 were auto cancelled and tough crap for those who ordered more than 1. She was very polite and said she would credit some VIP points but apparently everyone who ordered over 1 in the first 10 minutes or so are not getting a book and nothing anyone can do about it.
