In case its relevant for others, I messaged Zavvi and they say they can take off sales tax afterwards if provided with a resellers certificate. never actually did it and nothing is easy with them so take it for what its worth

You get 1% cashback with Target Circle, but you don't get it if you use a red card. So technically you can use your 5% off gift card and Target Circle for a combined 6% beating the normal red card 5%.
