I think it's only the $50 GCs that work.  I was in store yesterday, and able to pick up quite a few as well.

A staples manager told me specifically that only the $50 TRU gift cards qualify for the sale. You can combine only the $25 Xbox and Pets gifts cards.

FYI - I had some problems at my store so I decided to call their (horrible) customer service. After almost an hour on the phone trying to bridge the language barrier, I asked for a supervisor. He informed me that there was an internal memo stating that TRU was not supposed to be included in the sale at all and the stores were to be notified. I got it to work on the $50 cards but not the $25. With all that being said, I would be out there snagging every card I could find in case this "memo" makes it way to the store level as it should have.

Anyone try the Meijer Santa Bucks vs. BOGO 40% off on select lines yet?  Particularly curious IF Meijer is counting Batman Movie series as a "superhero" set as part of BOGO 40% off or not.  Thanks!

If you have a Samsung phone, Samsung Pay has TRU $50 giftcards for $40 deal again. Last time these went pretty quickly. I believe there's a $400 limit per day.

Hit Meijer this morning but left with nothing.  City, superheroes and friends are still all BOGO 40% off but mine did not have any Batman Movie sets out and the DC girls was not included in the BOGO.  Even with the Santa bucks almost all deals were "only" 29% off so I didn't bite.

They did yesterday for a bit.... Target sells out too fast for them to match in time.

it hit slickdeals, so it will probably sell out before Amazon price matches.

Not the greatest deal, but a 76023 Tumbler with instructions shipped for $166.  This is probably the best price to get one to build at this point, unless you have a CL contact.

Went to Meijer looking for the Avenjet Space Mission.  Of course that was the only set they didn't have.  No Batman movie sets either.  They had a couple star wars sets on "clearance".  By clearance I mean 10%off.  The sets I saw where the Resistance X-wing, Vader's tie, Final Duel and IST. Even with santa bucks, they were not cheaper than Target/Amazon.

I stopped at Meijers for groceries. I didn't try santa bucks plus BOGO 40% off but I did walk through the aisle. Mine does NOT have the new Batman Movie sets yet. The shelves are marked with the BOGO 40% off stickers (I believe its Friends, City and Superheroes). Good luck to those that try.
