    Could someone tell me is it still possible to buy merchant gift cards on ebay using eBay gift cards? With all the changes to rules on ebay I haven't been able to keep track. Thanks

    You can not use an eBay gift card to purchase anything in the gift card category (eBay, Best Buy, etc). Additionally you will not earn base 2% or bonus eBay Bucks when purchasing.

    Wow, good thing I just happened to come into this forum for the holiday action and decided to make a purchase on eBay.  I found out one of my eBay gift cards from July was used fraudulently a few days ago.  I filed a case with eBay to see where it goes.

    You will get nowhere with them. I had a same thing happened to me before. The problem is neither paypal nor ebay has the ability to track transaction history on the ebay gift cards. They are like internet cash and should be treated it that way. I have learned my lesson and will never buy another ebay gift card ever again.

    Noticed that the BOGO40% off sale on www.toysrus.com says "regular priced LEGO City, Friends, Duplo and Ninjago" - so not like the EBay TRU version where the 40% off also worked on already reduced prices (though there are a few exceptions, unfortunately mainly Duplo).

    That said, they have the following offer:

    As well as Chicken Suit Guy as a GWP for $30+ (also in-store only). Might allow for some nice stacking.

    It's a TRU exclusive though, so only TRU and the SAH have this available. If you price match in store, add the chicken guy minifigure and an extra $8, you can get the $10 gift card to use later. Overall, not a bad deal.

    Have you guys been successful price matching in store and getting the promotions to apply?  I was told by TRU employees that you can only do one or the other, not both.

    is the deal in store too ? They usually run Friday and Saturday speacials.

    I've had 3 instances recently of price matching, receiving the gift cards, and the GWP. All of them have required manager override to price adjust.
