September 23, 20169 yr my My kids have never seen the phantom menace. I can't believe I'm saying this, because I normally frown upon remakes, but Hopefully, by the time our kids are teenagers, Disney will have remade the prequels. Those are Three movies I would not mind at all if they were redone.

The prequels were neat in a historical context, coming out during the early days of our never-ending "war on terror" and ever-increasing police and surveillance powers granted to the state. I imagine that was an intentional effort by George Lucas. It's just too bad his directing skills aren't up to snuff anymore. And, of course, Jar-Jar could ruin even the best movie singlehandedly.
