Yes, by policy, but sometimes the cooperativeness and manager discretion varies store-to-store. YMMV

 

With cooperation of my local store I can't use my TRU cc for a $1 charge on Thursdays and then use my gift cards for the remaining balance anymore. I haven't been  to any TRU store since the coupons became member specific.

Does anyone know if the above tactic still generates full points for remaining balance put on gift cards?

Had the same problem on my iPhone. I had to completely uninstall the app and then add it back. Afterward it started working again. Not sure if it's the same problem for you but if you haven't tried that yet it might be worth a shot.
