STAR WARS VIII - "The Last Jedi" - Movie Discussion

This topic can be the source for our episode VIII movie discussions like we had for Ep VII

------------------------------------------------------

In Ep 8 news today (and as rumored), the release date has been delayed from May 2017 to Dec  2017.  We know Ep 7 was delayed due to a major script rewrites. I believe it's for a similar reason.

Ray is now twice a thief.  She likes those laser swords that aren’t her’s.

Disclaimer : it’s shown in a TV / trailer spot so most folks probably won’t consider this a spoiler . Plus this is a topic about the film .

I like this shot better with the guards.

If Rey is trying to escape I don't find it strange for her to take whatever is available, including Kylo's sword, around her in order to defend herself and make it out alive.

starting a new thread for those who will see the movie starting this week and would like to discuss it without spoiling it for the rest . You will need to ask to join if you are not in the Movie & Talk Club (ie no popcorn icon under your avatar)

Going to see it this Friday, so I'll join that thread after I've seen it. ☺️

This is what I am afraid of:

Be warned that this review contains spoilers, so enter at your own risk.  I did not read it.

That reviewer sounds like a real prick.  I really don't think anything would have made them happy.  I have watched and read many reviews already and overall it sounds pretty darn good. I watch a lot of this persons reviews and for the most part I agree with many of them.  Everyone is different and entitled to their own thoughts and feelings on a movie, so that reviewer hated it.  The video is spoiler free.

I think many people just get too immersed in the whole STAR WARS thing.  Hey Jeff, I need my Special Edition Luke Skywalker Light Saber back before we see the movie tomorrow night.  Don't forget to bring your Vader version.

I remember that picture.  Those were the days!

Kylo Ren would finish behind both those fellows in a scary antagonist contest.

Now the spoilers have revealed the main content of the film, the main interesting point now seems to be what they do with Leia going forward.

I'm going to see it tonight, no high hopes because I already saw the review that really matters to me and as far as I know it's a soap opera again as the TFA was.
I just hope those unnecessary jokes will be limited to the necessary minimum.
