Visited the Miami Lego Store and they had 5 of these with seals 05R5! Did not get any of them as I have reached my cap...

What is the consensus regarding the retirement date on this set?

Define consensus.  But to answer your question, your guess is as good as mine.

What is the consensus regarding the retirement date on this set?

The consensus is that it will retire soon- before the end of the year.

I polled a sampling of one: me.

Oh yes... there's also the poll at the TOP OF THE PAGE, which groups me with 85% of the rest of those who read this thread.

I think many see this set going EOL in the next several months.  By the end of the year very likely.

Otherwise, ask Trekgate :)

Consensus was saying something that given this is TLC we are talking about , red 5 will get sold out (that is how things retire these days) sometime between tie ucs release (may 2) and new sw movie

I just ordered two last week.  Am I able to order another two or could that type of thing get me banned at LEGO Shop at Home?  Anyone thinking it will go from out of stock to sold out now?

They won't ban you, but they won't fulfill  your order either.... and they'll probably start looking at your account "more closely" from that point on... so no- you can't exceed the allotted 2 even after the first order is fulfilled, it is 2 per household... forever.

I have done a few orders of limits of the same set  - ordered 5 and then 5 more , without getting banned. Items were delivered. They were small $50 sets though. .

When do you guys think this will retire? Looks like a good investment since the new Star Wars movie is coming out and it have the Red 5 spaceship in it.

I think this is gone. I would buy up any you see.

Edit: Did not see any at Bellevue Square Lego store. Also no Lonely Mountain.

I should have purchased these when there was double vip a few weeks ago. I couldn't find when the next double vip day will be, and whenever that is these will probably all be gone.

LEGO Shop at Home showing shipping date of Apr 26... so still available?
