I assume the sets will be based off of the movie, which will hit theatres at about the same time that the sets come out (Spring 2016), so some of the pictures may begin to "click" once we get to see actual footage.

The red guys actually really resemble each other IMO, so it's not as if the new minifigure is way out off target. Also digging the egg piece, though a normal minifigure can't exactly hold it. TLG should give the egg a 1x1 base to give it some usage outside of the Angry Birds world.

OK, will these birds have legs?  Has there ever been a minifig without legs?  Well, besides Jabba.

Do you think these will be built with a launch system, like the toys from previous years.  Throw the birds and knock down platforms, walls with piggies, etc.?

Maggie Simpsons, Genies, Mermaids, etc

These sets are based on the movies, so it will depend on what the birds will be doing in the movie

Nice, luv it

So now there's Angry Birds AND Bad Piggies...

These 3D models of the figures appear borderline to DUPLO ones. From the bowl, plate studs, and arms with hands on that pig, I can tell they will be regular minifigure scale but even so it and the bird posted earlier share the bulky simplicity in form much like the larger DUPLO figures. I wonder what particular shade of green LEGO will use; maybe bright green which is a relatively rare color for arms mostly seen with a couple of the TMNT sets and some holiday ones.

regardless of what we think of it; as long as kids love it, it will sell. Which means, we will be buying them.

I can just see that as buy and sell at XMAS 2016 if stores run out of supply.

As Long-term this is the same as Lone Ranger, Lego Movie, Turtles etc.

The sad thing is that the Angry Birds castle is better than the Nexo Knights castle.  That's not really saying much, but I still think it's a better castle.

You're not alone in that thought.

These sets are associated with the film over just the game's source material therefore I imagine the references in design make almost no sense until then. Still out of them all, I kind of like the little hut with motorcycle. The character figures are outside what I prefer and relatively close to a DUPLO figure but they seem to match the film going by the trailer at least. Anyway I can imagine some interesting stop motion clips showing up on YouTube down the road. Haha.

I think these look pretty cool, the kids are gonna love em.

While still not knowing anything of the film's material or content, I do like the cartoony appearance these builds have. The plane, beach house, hut, and vehicle are nice. At least the pigs having regular minifigure arms will make them a tad more usable to me for other characters since light bright green (whatever) is an extremely rare color in minifigure parts I believe last time I checked. Also apologies to Gallows and his posted images being stubborn.

yeah that is my opinion as well. I see that only as a QFLL opportunity for XMAS 16 if LEGO Shop at Home runs of stock and the movie is doing okay. Sets reminds me of Lego Movie crap :girlwacko:
