I like that idea. I have to go dig those out of the garage, but I may be able to make that happen. 26 minutes ago, Phil B said: Just a tip, and likely something you've already thought of: Make all the pictures in one sitting Then just post a new one each day. Saves you tons of hassle. Plus your son will get his DS back. Yeah, it was near Midnight when I started last night. And rebuilding the numbers for every picture is a pain. But I may have taken care of the next week's worth of photos.
August 4, 20169 yr Local seller dropped his price from $520 to $500 today. The purge has begun. I have a bad feeling about this.
August 4, 20169 yr I have a feeling people are going to be losing money on 10188 in the next few weeks, especially those bought at retail. I'm sitting on 2 of them, myself. The way I see it, is that it's at least a 400.00 value set for a trade at the very least. I doubt it drops below that.
August 4, 20169 yr Do you guys think 10179's value would drop quite a bit as well, if LEGO eventually releases another $500 one?

August 4, 20169 yr So you're telling me I should undercut him at $475? Yep. Better hurry though, time is running out!

I personally feel no matter what the new DS looks like, 10188 aftermarket price will stagnate. I have three sealed and two loose. Part of me wants to just unload and reinvest in other sets. The other part of me says let them sit in storage. They're already bought and they're not hurting anything by sitting there.
August 4, 20169 yr I think a lot of people are considering the same thing. Get out now and avoid what seems to be very obvious risk for greener grasses. Only time will tell if they greener.

The upcoming remake is gonna be the best set of all time tbh.
August 4, 20169 yr Popular Post It shouldn't be too much longer now. It looks like they're putting the finishing touches on it now.

August 4, 20169 yr Speculation. 10188 will be fine. My opinion is anyone who invested in a 400 set and had an inclination to try and sell within a year or two didn't think it through. Ssd is hanging out at the current price, it will be there for a while. I sold 12 and got all my money back, my other 18 won't be sold for quite some time. Patience is the rewarder for big expensive sets. This year has been a relatively flat year for growth. But the previous three were stellar. If there were no movies to keep interest in Star wars then I would be worried. I'll get out of these netting a double after expenses of my basis, not before.
August 4, 20169 yr @dcdfan not enough minifigures to make everyone happy. This should do the trick: and with 30,000 pieces, it should be big enough.

August 4, 20169 yr I missed out on a sealed one for $375 on CL a couple weeks ago, bc it was the day I bought the Tumbler, a GE, a Av Tower, and Quinjet for $400 and my wife would have straight stabbed me, it was gone by morning. Kicking myself ever since. So, if any panickers want to give one up for $375 shipped, I'm your man. The box could be trashed for all I care. Edited August 4, 20169 yr by TigerEyez

Episode X - XII will be very unlikely (so no new DS remakes), this will probably surge the value of 75159 to $1200+ within 10 years. 10188 will be a great 'budget' alternative for only $900 by Xmas 2026 [emoji1]For the patient ones among us, 10188 still will appreciate a lot more then stocks or savings [emoji16]
August 4, 20169 yr Eventually, LEGO will lose its STAR WARS license to LEPIN and all the sets will increase in value.
August 4, 20169 yr 1 hour ago, Ed Mack said: Eventually, LEGO will lose its STAR WARS license to LEPIN and all the sets will increase in value. But, Lepin is the Lego company is it not?... "Lepin" from the Greek Leptos meaning to supress appetite & speed up metabolism/consumption... it's a way to introduce the products to the emerging Chinese market slowly to build a thirst at a significantly reduced price point (without damaging the real brand name), then whammo in a couple years it will disappear in favour of more globally marketed Lego brand :-)
August 4, 20169 yr When they release the new DS before Lego do then we will know it´s true.Maybe.Either way that would truly be jaw dropping.
