Pretty easy sequence to predict here people. Both for Cindy and Death Star. 1. Image leaks. 2. "Meh, not impressed, where has Lego's creativity gone?" 3. "Guaranteed investment winner"

  • "Well I have about 20 Emails and 3 phone calls on the New Death Star and what am I doing about the 10188.I was going to wait a while to post but with my name poping up everwhere well he is my thought.

Last year it was $30 for the City and Friends one, and $40 for the SW one, if I recall correctly. Total is just enough for the free bonus Advent Calendar :)

Lol, trying to pick up my own garbage ;)

Sitting at my dinner table tonight eating some Chick Fil-A and flipping through the new LEGO catalog. I get to the 75159 page and my wise ass 6 year old son says, "Dad, you aren't going to buy another one of those are you? You already have 10 of them!" Smart kid and good advice. The Disney Castle does look great on the cover by the way. The Capitol Building also is special. Great set.

How much the Canadian MSRP will be? $600 CAD, $630 CAD, $650 CAD?

Mine neither.  What's the deal with that?  They could at least do me the courtesy of rubbing my disappointment directly in my face.

I don't know why but hearing Ed call his son a wise ass may easily be the best thing I heard today.

My son Max is a good kid, but a smart ass. He is me multiplied. Such an attitude for a 6 year old. My dad would have kicked my butt if I said what he says. I must be a bad example.

At least Max was nice to me the 2 times he saw me. Unless he was a smartass behind my back. Ha

No Death Star in my catalog.

I was referring to the large VIP ad that is attached to the catalog.

Oh, he is nice in public and in school, but get him alone..."forgetaboutit."

Yeah.  That must be a 6+ year old boy thing. Same in my house

Quite simply, it's been an up and down year for me.  There are some fantastic technic sets out that I will be buying no matter what.  But the rash of other exclusives is so effing disappointing.  The batcave, AOH, the mine, etc.

Since I got out of my dark ages in Sept 2013, I have averaged about $3-4 thousand a year in Legos, buying up all kinds of fantastic sets.  This year? Well it's been pretty much cut in half, only because there are about half as many sets that are appealing to me this year.  On one hand I should be thanking Lego, because it's been a tighter year financially for me, so I don't feel worried about not being able to get all the sets I want, but then on the other hand, it's like, what the hell Lego???  It sucks to see such little creativity out of Lego, and I really, really hope that this is just a fluke year.

My opinion on the Snowspeeder/MF rumors, honestly, I wouldn't mind that, only because it's been so many years between sets, that it wouldn't be so bad.  But I feel also though, that if both UCS sets are, let's say, the Snowspeeder AND MF, then that will also be disappointing.  If they want to do one remake, and then a new UCS that we haven't seen yet, I think that wouldn't be so bad on Lego's part.

Point being, I'll be saving $500 because I will NOT buy the new DS.  I already have 10188, and that's good enough.  I don't care about the updated minifigures.
