From LEGO:

“The LEGO[emoji768] Star Wars[emoji769] Death Star[emoji769] was a huge hit with fans when it launched in 2008 and we are excited to announce that we have made some awesome updates and improvements to this huge model! Our designers added over 200 bricks and elements as well as 3 new minifigures. This 2016 version offers a great building experience to both those fans who have the original set, and those who may be new to the LEGO[emoji768] Star Wars[emoji769] universe. This is not an indication of any future re-release or set updates.”"

Pretty easy sequence to predict here people. Both for Cindy and Death Star. 1. Image leaks. 2. "Meh, not impressed, where has Lego's creativity gone?" 3. "Guaranteed investment winner"

  • "Well I have about 20 Emails and 3 phone calls on the New Death Star and what am I doing about the 10188.I was going to wait a while to post but with my name poping up everwhere well he is my thought.

Source?

I would not buy that if if my life depended on it. Disney out for one thing........MONEY!    Not worth it.

Anyone else notice the double UCS badge placement on the side of the box art image?

Tie fighter has it too. Trust me, I've seen too many of the side of that box now. [emoji15]

I find that last statement to be very interesting if the source ( not BL ) is accurate ....

And who would want to build the same big set twice , I don't see the joy in the that .

Cheer up and join the force my friend.

Really? As in the release box artwork does? I just checked my TIEs and none of mine have it on them twice. Mind you I am in Aus.

So, the line about future remakes isn't in the press release.  @CM4Sci, can you site somewhere where that statement was included?  I mean, other than it came with the pictures?  What do you mean?

Really? As in the release box artwork does? I just checked my TIEs and none of mine have it on them twice. Mind you I am in Aus.

Yup. On one side with the image (like the one on the front), there are 2 gold UCS badges side by side. It's either the left or right side, not top or bottom.

From BrickFan:

One thing to note in the press release notes was that the UCS Death Star (75159) is not an indication of any future re-release or set updates.
