I forgot about the Indominus Rex picture.  The Wampa was a good one.  If maybe you want to put the T-Rex together with the Indominus Rex as a comparison, that could work well.  Thanks.

Any particular Hulk? All I've got is the recent one from the Hulkbuster set. I can get my hands on Smaug, and both versions of the Dewbacks. I've got Eruptorr ready to shoot this weekend. 

Ed, do you need any pictures of a sw107 Boba Fett? I recently got one so I'd be happy to share. Here is a quick picture of it. I also have a sw038 Watto I found, somewhere. I'm sorry, I haven't read much in this thread.

We've got our final batch of photos coming tomorrow night! All the minifigures and maxifigures I've mentioned. There's some in there I feel are pretty good. Thanks for holding the contest! While it's been hard to find times to shoot, it's been a lot of fun. I don't think my brother has ever been so interested in doing Lego photography before   He wants to get a macrolens so he can do more and better Lego photography, lol.

Will we get to see the winning photographs? (The top 10.) Even if they're watermarked and low res, I hope we get to see them before the book releases, when the winners are announced.

Feel free to still submit photos.  We have a few more days to turn stuff in.  I just handed in the text and Jeff is still organizing photos and sending them in.  As I said earlier, we don't have a lot of maxifigure or large figure photos.  Here is what will be written about in the book.

I suppose I can attempt to take a wider variety of Smaug, Mungus, and Erruptorr photos—less stock-ey, if you'd like. They won't be quite as high quality as the previous photos I've submitted, as I won't be able to arrange a photograpy session with my brother, but I can take a few myself.

Thanks..Don't beat yourself up.  I just put it out there for anyone who is interested.  

I'll take a few if I think of anything unique or creative. As of now I don't have a lot of ideas.

I'll try and send some if I have some spare time (which I can most likely find). I have Smaug, possibly the Troll, Hulk, and Rancor. Maybe you can replace my crappy photos with the better ones lol.

Alright, I've got a few more I'm planning to take. Creative photos of smaug, erruptorr, and mungus. My brother wants to take them, though. Is it alright if I submit them this weekend? It's holy week so I'm not sure when we'll get them in. But we'll easily find some time on Saturday or Sunday, especially since it's less than ten photos without setting up the giant background, lol.

When's the new deadline

Time is about up. If people have anything else to turn in, do it quickly. We can add to the numerous albums. The text has gone in and Jeff submitted the last pictures yesterday. There might be a need to re-address some photos at some point. For the most part, people did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. There were so many quality and creative shots that it will be hard to use them all. We have been working on the cover with the designer and I like it a lot. I think this book will have a more creative flair to it and could be a cool coffee table book. Unlike other recent minifigures books that show characters in real life shots and are dark and depressing, many of our photos are funny and fun. I admire the imagination of the LEGO fan.

Hmm, I didn't get the chance to take any over the weekend. I had two quick ideas I was considering. If I don't take them today I won't worry about it. Either way, it's exciting that everything is submitted!

Haha . . . Well, I was going to take some new shots of Mungus. I put him in the freezer in a rather large mug and filled it with water. The hope was that I'd get him in a nice big round chunk of ice, then throw him in a cooler with a bunch of ice cubes, so it looked like he had been frozen in an ice cube and used to keep drinks cool for a picnic or something like that. Everything was going well: Clear ice, perfect size . . . Until I left for work and when I came back everything had shattered. Evidently the ice froze on top and bottom and didn't have anywhere else to go but outwards after that. Thankfully Mungus survived, though it looks like that's it for my photos then. Thanks for the contest!

The book editing has been started and the publishers love the pictures.  Jeff and I went through all the creative and diorama photos and we are still looking for some unique, real world shots for the introduction of the below chapters.  If we could get something within the next week or so, we might be able to get them into the book if well done.  Thanks again.  Ed...

I got an elves one that's pretty cool, but only has one minidoll, A couple toy story shots that are alright and a space one that I think is pretty cool, though it only uses the figures from the exo suit set. I'll get those submitted by the end of the week.

 

Other than that I've got a friend's one I'm not a huge fan of. We've got a lot of the minidolls but I didn't really have any great ideas. Same with chima. We also have the Cinderella minidoll. If you've got any ideas with those I can take a shot with them this next weekend.

Yes...We still need Toy Story and Monster Fighters.  You can scratch Comic Con and Space.  The LEGO Movie can be added.  No more maxifigure shots.  We have a lot of good stuff.

My son has the toy story minifigures easily accessible in his room. I'll take care of these.
