St Basil Cathedral would be INSANE to have.  Take it to a new level with most pieces ever...they would almost have to with all that intricacy

It would be exciting if it was a "new" landmark building. I am excited about the possibility of one less landmark building though...

And one located in London at that!

That´s what I meant, clumsily!

I know this is off topic but Big Ben with power function clock tower that keeps semi-accurate time, now that would be epic!!

Not sure if that's possible @ 220€

There would be no way at that price point but I'm sure we'll see a moc of one at some point.

I am pretty sure 1 can just transplant a cheap kids watch from Walmart on the place of the clock piece

Yes but the majority of Mocs that I see use 100% lego pieces without using foreign product. Otherwise it becomes impure.

Of course one can do whatever they want but using all lego pieces to achieve this would be awesome.

Does this mean they are not going to retire the Architecture version any time soon ?

The SOH's were together for a lot longer than they probably should have been...15 months...?

Making another set from same country , even from same city within several years is absolutely out of logic. Plus, big ben is not so iconic - there is a lot of better buildings in the  world - pyramids, something from new 7 wonders, etc.

The Acropolis would be pretty amazing, but tons of white'ish bricks.

I'm pulling for Abbey Road.

I have a picture of me walking barefoot across Abby Road.

And look at what all those little white bricks did for the Taj Mahal $$$

Big Ben would be a perfect candidate for a new landmark Creator set IMO. Also, as stated above, a very creative LEGO engineer could add a working clock to it, making it a spectacular set. When I think of the U.K., I think of Big Ben. It's as iconic as they come. I would love to see an Empire State Building with an LED lit pinnacle.

I would rather they focus on the tower and make it very detailed.

I really like the idea of a Lego set based on the Big Ben clock tower.

However, I think it would be even more interesting to see a new model in the series based on an iconic landmark from a country that has not featured in the series before.

Maybe they're trying to get rid of the err, competition...?

Another bonus to having Big Ben on this scale would be its build is up so its foot print wouldn't be as large. Barring they exclude the parliament building.

Not too many clock towers more famous than this guy. To add to the 7 wonders though, a Sphynx would probably be my 1st choice due to more exterior detail compared to a big triangle. One downfall would be all those tan bricks. I don't think it would be equal to the white of the Taj Mahal.

The Pyramids would be a very tedious set to build, not to mention dull and uninspiring.

Well, that depends on how many of the (working) traps you build in.

I am sorry but Big ben is just a simple tower without any architecture bonus... there is a lot of towers around the world, this tower is just well known, but not very interesting building. If tower, then Pisa tower. But again, the most important factor is that TLG already made a set from London. I cannot imagine to make another London landmark, while there is a lot of much better and interesting landmarks from other parts of the world. If making another set from same country, then USA - much much stronger market than UK. If TLG makes new landmark every year, OK, we can see landmarks from same country, but not in this situation, when TLG has made just 5 landmarks during 16 years. Here is my list of most interesting buildings + reason why are better than Big Ben:

Pyramids - 1 of classic 7 wonders and maybe most famous building from the earth. Of course, it is a simply building, but adding the Sphinx would be solve this problem. As an alternative can be Chichen Itza (but this would be better as an Architecture set).

Colosseum in Rome -  there is a big hole in TLG production - ancient antique - and this set can cover it. As an alternative can be Athens temple.

Neuschwanstein castle - German is a strong market, so a german landmark makes sense + this fairytail castle could be easy one of the best lego sets ever. As a simplier alternative could be Brandenburg Gate.

St. Basil cathedral from Moscow - again, this colorful and interesting building could be wonderful set.

Burj al Arab from Dubai / Petronas towers from Kuala lumpur or other modern buildings, which looks great.
