February 3, 201510 yr better than holding. GE-RED5-EV-PS-MK2 crane, for example. Bloody acronyms. I like to think I'm on top of them but every now and then I stump myself. EV??

February 3, 201510 yr Thanks. Ignoring GE for the moment since it's already retired, is RED5-EV-PS-MK2 crane the order predicted for the next large set retirements?
February 3, 201510 yr Thanks. Ignoring GE for the moment since it's already retired, is RED5-EV-PS-MK2 crane the order predicted for the next large set retirements? Absolutely NOT. Those sets could retire in any order that Lego can think of.
February 3, 201510 yr MK2 is a safe bet to go at the end of the year. Large technic sets have been consistent. The other three I'll predict R5, PS, EV. Just a guess. Keeping this on topic the FB is hitting $400 for FBA, very nice.

February 4, 201510 yr At the risk of saying something on topic. Looking at the January sales on eBay UK, for sealed sets, this is the first month they have all gone for over
February 21, 201510 yr In lego store today and someone returned a fire brigade. Employees took to back. I went to get some money and employees said it sold already. I know they kept it but oh well
February 28, 201510 yr I have the option to buy in at $220 used including box and instructions. Does this seem reasonable?
February 28, 201510 yr I have the option to buy in at $220 used including box and instructions. Does this seem reasonable? Yes! Ask yourself, will you be able to get a better price?
February 28, 201510 yr Maybe around that price but probably not better. It would be a disaybfor a couenpf years and then I would like to sell. I am just weighing between this and buying some exclusives for double VIP. I would wager that owner fire brigade long-term, even used is going to be a smart move though...

May 1, 201510 yr you can still pick this up new at that price. NIB.Not in US dollars. That being said, paying nearly 2x MSRP for a used set for investment probably isn't the best use of your money. Edited May 1, 201510 yr by biking_tiger
May 1, 201510 yr If you want to build it, yes buy it at $270. For Investment, it`s still not a bad buy, but you`ll need to hold it obviously. I`d lean more towards buying it, building it, keeping it for a while, then selling when the price is a higher. At least, that`s what I`d do it with it if I didn`t have one built already. Strictly for Investment though, I`d probably pass it off in favour of something else, otherwise you`re going to be looking at a pretty long hold.
September 27, 201510 yr If anyone is interested. I will be building this set live over on Twitch.I'll be starting in about 45min (9pm PDT).twitch.tv/silburned

This is insane. I just want to know if the buyer is fully aware of what he's getting.

No, they don't always side with the buyer. Not reading the description will not get your money back.
