If there's any sort of release promo or first edition I will buy in-store on day-1. Otherwise I will wait for at least double VIP point + free gift.

Moreover, I'm located in Winterpeg and can't imagine this set flying off the shelves. I would be surprised if they sold out on day-1 here.

Lots of Women of Nasa on the shelves at Oakridge Vancouver for those who plant to flip this down to the US. Limit is 2, after ebay fees and driving to flip 2, you can probably make enough to pay for gas and a burger combo at Jack in the Box.

Not sure about in store, but the Holiday countdown promo set has been replaced with the Creator Fountain (40221) if anyone's interested. Nothing on the site interests me right now, especially with limited funds and black friday right around the corner, but thought I'd throw it out there.

London bus & the VIP set are great little add-ons indeed! The Wu keychain on the other hand, I'm quite certain has been covertly designed to damage boxes in transit... I suspect during the trip he's been specifically tasked to bounce around in there, do'n all kinds of ninja stuffs, to scratch, ding & dent everything as much as possible; likely to deter resale upon arrival.

Strolled into the Edmonton Lego store about 2:30pm today and I've never seen the shelves look so bare! Missed out on helicarriers that were discounted 20% off

I order ordered a Parisian Resto to build. Will sell the London Bus for $20, the VIP set for $25, and the keychain for $5. Plus there’s the double VIP points. Not bad...

I forget. If you order something that is backordered will they ship the promos separately or wait till the item is in stock?

They will ship separately.

In my experience you need a split order with something that IS in stock for it to ship separately. If the backordered set is the only item besides the promos, I'm pretty sure they'll wait.

Yes, they did have some online deals starting on 26 Dec...but the deals were terrible. I expect the same online this year.

No deals in store. 20% off U-Wing was best I saw. AOH, Tie, Winter Village, F40, PC are all long gone, thankfully.

Confirmed. Nothing on sale of note. Shelves were remarkably bare, I guess they had no time to get any restock
