You know how bleaching LEGO in the sun with peroxide turns stuff white(ish).  Use your imagination... jk. 

In all honesty, it's a great question.  I have never seen those LEGO in that color either.  However, the studs showing on the side of the vehicle are not LEGO so they may be from a knock-off producer.

According to what the builder mentioned in the comments section of the photo, they dyed the windscreen pieces using turmeric/curcumin (curcuma or kurkuma). I have no experience in the actual process but there's that.
