Well, I've seen both.  A few posts above shows the link to the stormtrooper minifig.  So....I don't know.  Honestly, it might be different at different TRU stores.

I saw the same thing you did, and thought the same thing too.  But when you look closely, that isn't a stormtrooper fig, it's just a picture of one that is printed on the brick. 

Trust me, if there was a fig I'd be there in a heart beat.

I'm 1:20 away, so it's a little far to justify going, especially at that time of night. If I was a few minutes closer, I'd go. I wouldn't mind the Messenger Bag.

Just stopped by Walmart. .. looks like they're going to give away balloons. Otherwise dead... no new Lego out at 11:50... some skids of Black Series. .. some light sabers. .. that's it. Left. Now about 60th in line outside TRU.

My wife decided to be out of town tonight, so I had to stay home with the kids. Did not think it through when she mentioned it a few weeks back.

Cue Admiral Ackbar.....

Here are the giveaways I got at TRU... a crowd of about 70 or 100 people there tonight (in my BFE TRU)... most went straight for the Black Series stuff... other action figures, light sabers, costumes... I had the Lego aisle to myself for a while.

That's why I now own two.

 

Lego was virtually untouched, except for the MF. I was twentieth in line and by the time I get there, it was gone. Next most popular was Poes x wing. Black series was gutted except for the original trilogy figures. Captain Phasma and BB8 are the hot characters.

I agree! This little toy will be a smashing hit. Cant wait to get one for myself!

Just got back from TRU in Bay Area - about 50-60 people in line, I was about 15th or so.  Everyone was very friendly and TRU ran things very well: they handed out the posters and the Lego brick one to each person as you entered the store.  The bag looked pretty full but wouldn't surprise me if they were all gone by the end of the line.  Picked up a Millennium Falcon and Rey's Speeder both look great and nice box art.  Really happy I decided to go.

My TRU only had 50 posters...

They passed out the lego brick as a pity joke (I was 70th in line).

Everything was tossed and messed up in the aisles.

I was happy enough ordering six BB-8's online...

I picked up a TRU exclusive set 66536, it combines 75110 Luke and 75111 Vader buildable figures.  Comes with a poster.  This one didn't appear to leak, can't find any previous mention of it on the internet, but it is on the TRU Canada site now (I bought mine in WA).

Ok, just had a little trip to TRU to see what´s going down. All the new stuff on display guarded by Stormtroopers and a very sweaty Chewie (bad luck for the guy that drew that costume in summer).

The rehash sets all have seemingly identical box sizes to the last iterations and the artwork is quite nice except for the MF which seems a little meh compared to 7965. I guess having them around for so long you get fond of them. The  new figs look great though, but DV does seem a little pricey compared to the others.

Not exactly flying out the shops, but it is a working Friday.

I stopped in 2 walmarts, and did the event at TRU.  My original goal was to pick up a First Order Transporter, but after seeing how thick they were compared to the Millennium Falcon's, I decided to buy that instead.  

The TRU event was pure madness.  The figures were gone all in a minute or two, and the vultures were left with scraps.  Fortunately, no one was bothering much with the lego, so I managed to grab Kylo's ship and 1 of only 2 Millennium Falcon's on the shelf.  

Looks like the MF could be a somewhat hard item to land, if current distribution is like I saw last night. Almost every shop just had 2.
