A great build with some cool details on the inside. my only problem with this idea is that I wouldn't want a train running behind every building.  Would feel like Mr. Rodgers, where the castle was on train tracks.

it's nice on it's own but doesn't fit with the modular line.  can't put it up against another one and have a random one piece of track and a train behind it.  then you'd have to have a track behind all and that doesn't match buildings in itself.  if it were a stand alone where you had space between modulars and the track bent around in different ways sure.  but no, not for the modular line.

Here's hoping that Lego does come out with a proper train station at some point. I mean, they've made dozens of trains and the only stations they've come up with have been pit stops.  They made the nice train shed for World City which was really cool, but never a really good station that could be easily incorporated into a city.

Edit:  7997 isn't too bad, but still smaller than I'd like to see.
