I stopped at another Target - none out but I asked them to check in back. There were back there, but so was a sign instructing them to not sell until 8/1 - mega bummer. Sounds like I got lucky at the first one.

Anyone have the DPCI yet? That sure would be helpful.

DPCI # on the receipt is 099090999, which is not a valid one. I gave the toys dept. guy the DPCI for previous minifigures  (204-00-1379) and thats how he found the 60 in the stock room that turned out to be a sealed box of Series 14. So it appears it will be the same DPCI as before.

Someone has a full box on ebay for "only" $600obo.  Target here still has series 13 and some simpsons, tied in with a box of random mixels.  No knowledge of Series 14 and nothing in the back warehouse.  I'd love to find a box.

where/how can you purchase a full unopened box? do I need to flirt with the manager of my LEGO store or what?

Stopped by my Local Target after work..... Rack was empty. So I found an associate... they looked on their scanner and said they were out of stock =(

The kid at target got me ten from the back and said he would go grab me some more. Then he walks out an takes them out of my cart and says he is ruining my day because he cant sell them til the 1st. I am more than welcome to come back then. I just said I wont be back to that target and walked away.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with that.  I figure if the guy is "kid" age, he probably doesn't care if he was rude, or care if jkris shops there or not.  But he'll probably share his story online.

Mid to late twenties. His name tag also said trainer.  Its not that he wouldn't sell them to me. If that was the case he could have said that and I would have taken them out for him. the other part of it is the complete lack of consistency with some buying entire cases and some being told they will have to wait until the official release date.
