Wait, What? 10179 was a $500 set that was not a Wal-Mart exclusive. It did not linger. You can't compare anything to 10179.  By all metrics, 8092 should have been a home run. 5 iconic figures and a great vehicle. Reasonably priced. It would have been if it hadn't stuck around for sooo long. Raptor Escape may end up being a great investment long term. Or Wal-Mart may choose to keep it in stock for 2 more years, long after it is marked retired at SAH. I'm just saying use caution and don't go hog wild buying at greater than MSRP, especially not $80.

Some people learn from history and others scoff at it :dontknow:

In for 1 at 20% off. Not great but beggars can´t be choosers. Not missed a single retired EU set so far!

This is one of those sets that was heavily discounted for a long while here in the UK. I'm glad I picked a few of these up, heres to hoping it makes a tidy profit

Hard to gauge like many have mentioned, but just being devil's advocate... look at The Lego Movie line up. Mostly gone in the EU's LEGO Shop at Home, but still kicking around in many stores in North America. At the rate these are flying off the shelves, I won't be surprise if Lego will keep pumping them as long as Walmart continues to order them.

I got 4 this morning. The same store is empty yesterday. I asked if they have more, they scan the box and they said they only had 4.

Cornered a scanner girl at my local walmart toy department today, and asked her where the RE's were. She said she had ordered them a while ago... scanned the shelf tag,  and said "4 in warehouse " but said that means not in stockroom,  but rather the regional warehouse ... should be here later this week.   Looks like 4 is the standard  restock.

I believe it is 4 to a case, as most Walmarts in my area (Canada) always had either 4 or 8 in stock.

yep - they were the only 4.  there was one Pteranadon Capture as well.  They had a shelf tag.  The lego aisle is completely stuffed to the max at the moment.

Another Walmart nearby I went to last night had zero RE.

There are 2 more to check out tomorrow.

I have been to 6 walmarts since Monday and all 6 had them. Total of 29 this week. Sold 15 so far for $81. That's 60% profit.

$81 is a good price I assume that was amazon. Much bigger check books hang out on amazon.

Both Walmarts I have been to today have had them, picked up 12 so far.  Did leave a couple for Timmy because I'm that nice of a guy.  Now, if they sell fast and I run low, Timmy will have to get out of my way.

Set 8092 was a Wal-Mart exclusive that lingered at Wal-Mart looong after it was done at SAH. It was not a great investment ultimately IMO. I made money on them but barely. This set could be that way too. You never know. I certainly won't be buying at more than MSRP anytime soon.

I'm sorry, but 8092 is a set that is based off a crappy movie (albeit Star Wars) and is one of hundreds of Star Wars sets that can be purchased.  75920 is one of FIVE (5) sets from a $1B+ movie that kids have loved.  It may have 'lingered' on the shelf for the first couple of months, but for the US, it has flown off the shelves at a velocity approaching Superman.  And the thing about the 5 JW sets is that kids don't have to know anything about the movie to want them; Dinos + LEGOs will always be popular.  I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm hoping 100% of all other LEGO investors agree with you on this set and refuse to buy any at retail.  If this gets the 'Retired' tag in the US before the listed February date, I'll buy all I can at that price.

$5.49 shipping credit. 15% fee. So assuming he shipped to a neaby zone. He probably walked away with +/- $23 profit.

On the Walmart website, it shows none in stock for pickup around me. Can I trust this?
