This debate is a remake of the Series 15 debate. And the Series 14 debate. And the Series 13 debate. (Not the Simpsons series though - nobody actually cared enough to smoosh those awful angular heads.

  • But you didn't post a deal.. You posted some vague reference to a potential deal we're apparently not thinking about correctly. I'm trying to say it politely, but you aren't exactly being helpful. A

I've been to Disney Springs in Orlando. Couldn't find them in any Disney store or in the Lego store.

But on the same weekend at Lego Land, which is a separate entity, they were at every register. And they have a lot of registers.

I don't think they'll sell them regularly at the Disney parks, unless they open a Lego store in the park and sell all Legos there.

But even then, Disney sells cheap toys in their parks that were made in China with a short life-span and a ridiculously high mark up. Their profit margins are in the 1000%

Their cut of a $3.99 Minifig sold in their park is probably 75% at best. They make more money selling you a $5 bottle of water then selling a minifig.

Good point! I don't think either we're going to see CMF Disney series selling in their stores anytime soon..

Selling licence to Lego is enough profitable. [emoji6]

Went to disneyland paris a week before last, They where sold out and in the lego store there same thing. I love the disney range as i am a huge mini fig fan but i really hope the do at least 4 or so series of theses and not do the simpsons, They are great looking but it feels incomplete without some of my favourites ...... Looking at you duff man ooooooohhh yeaaaaaahh !!

The release date was May 1 2016. I find it hard to believe that here we are less than 2 months later talking about retirement. :frantics:

Minifigs have a 4 month shelf life...  But, I think Lego is obviously going to flood the market with cases in the final hour and they'll last into october/november.

Why is that weird when 71014 German footbal team minifigures (released May 14th) is already retired?

Obviously the 71014 production run was a very small one and more limited edition than the 71012 Disney minifigs. But the Disney minifigs are still a special series and not part of the regular minifig series. The Series 16 minifigs to be released in September are a follow up to Series 15, which is still in normally available.

We have a small store here in town, that sells only a small load of Lego.  I was very surprised when I saw that they have one full display Box of these Disney Figures. I already have 30 (not boxes, figures). Maybe if they are really becoming that rare I should buy them...

Think of it this way. You see the figs, they're right there in front of you. Buy em now! People say that's it and people say there will be a flood. No guarantee on anything but what's in front of you.

Stopped by my local target. Saw about 30 packs in a well smooshed box. Was sold out in May when they were 3.49. Must've restocked in the last month. Now 3.99

Went to TRU too. They haven't restocked since May, but still have ~40 overly smooshed packs left. Bought two so I could qualify for the free poly bag.

Funny how overly smooshed Disney fig bags are left behind when the same time comes next year these will all be gold. Easily double the retail for those overly smooshed bags.

I could probably pick up around 10 cases within a 30 min drive of my house today.  But I have a real aversion to buying these at retail, as every single CMF has dropped by at least 30% at EOL.  But….  I want at least 10 cases.   But only now at retail if they’re gone.    Yes I know everyone here is thinking the same thing…

I don't know, I'm not sure all those Mr. Incredible's left behind will be worth all that much :)

If we can get a disney mini fig series going then these will be worth holding onto for gains, But even if they don't if you don't mind holding onto a few cases for a few years after they retire you will still see a decent return and to be fair a box of mini figs is not taking up to much space :)

I can get few hundred bags..... So far I have none, which one is the most valuable/the rarest?

All the ladies are the least common. Ariel, Ursala and Maleficent (then Alice, Daisy and Minnie). These will always be money, it's Disney and kids can always get their parents to get them something "little". The lego store near me is out and said they aren't aware that they will be sent more...

The Disney minifigures will be released in July according to the German LEGO catalogue. So it seems plausible that they will be brought back.

My first post here, hi folks!

Just a short information from germany: the selling of the Disney minifig series at Galeria Kaufhof (the largest dealer of exclusive sets here in germany) starts on saturday, the 25th june. So we are late, but we'll get our chance to get some of them. ;-)

welcome to the web site

Maybe some of you just need a bit of motivation to pull the trigger. I bought two boxes today. I know these will be back throughout the next 8 months. I know these will be money down the road. Rather slowly pile them up now.

Does anyone Have a list of the exact content of every display box? And is there already a tendency to the more rare figures?

Unlike other series, this one doesn't seem to have specific distribution. It seems to include three full sets and random distribution amongst the remaining 6.
