My Toys R Us has an entire box with all the packs cut open and a sign on it saying - still for sale, pick the ones you want.

Well that would certainly make it a heck of a lot easier to find the ones you need and avoid all the time to smoosh.

This debate is a remake of the Series 15 debate. And the Series 14 debate. And the Series 13 debate. (Not the Simpsons series though - nobody actually cared enough to smoosh those awful angular heads.

  • But you didn't post a deal.. You posted some vague reference to a potential deal we're apparently not thinking about correctly. I'm trying to say it politely, but you aren't exactly being helpful. A

So there are 18 figures in this series, Lego shop at home order limit is 18. Hmm i guess you are gonna have to be extremely lucky to get a complete set by ordering from shop at home. Oh wait Lego must be smoothing them for us and sending people that order the limit of 18 a complete set. Bravo Lego bravo. Completely stupid move.

Well, our little Canadian store is only allowing a max of 20.  Is this common when they introduce new series?

They did that with the last series. It'll go back to 60 at some point. I'll wait...

I got excited to order my box then I saw the limit :(  Any guess on how long they usually impose the limit?

I also hit the same problem.  I didn't do it for 15 but definitely wanted a couple boxes of these.  I might have to make a trip to Target today to get started...while I know I can wait, I think there will be some QF opportunities between the first and second production runs and don't want to risk missing out.

Not exactly. Someone here may be able to answer definitively or the answer may be in the Series 15 thread. I didn't order my cases till late for S15 as I was getting them at the beginning of release from other countries with the delay for North America and the limit 20 in place...

Yeah, I was late on s15 too so I am also in the blind about how long it took to lift the limits.  I might take a gander at the S15 thread.  Unlike resellers here, I wanted to get them early for trading purposes :)

In the UK the shop at home limit is 16, so even if your lucky enough to get all different figures you would still be 2 short of a full series. Very silly limit in my opinion

Downtown Disney LEGO Store is presently a Minifigure party. I now know the sound of 50 people smooshing simultaneously. This place is packed with rabid Disney fig buyers. Outside fig trading is in full force. Fun stuff.

just stopped by TRU and they had limit 5 per customer.  I spoke with the nice young assistant manager and he said sorry, come back tomorrow.  Went to target after, asked the nice young man in toys if they had em, he was the toy manager, went in back toy lock up and came out with a new case. Asked if I could buy em all, he checked with a different manager and said sure thing.  woot.  My sister got 100 from a TRU by her today but my TRU said no way. oh well, got the case I wanted.

My friend just spotted some guy at the mall with rows and rows of disney minifigs in the food court. I bet it's a BPer!

Or an internet reader...

hmmmm.... mall food court - sort of like a tru parking lot... ..  canada... hmmm - a supraboy sighting.

There is a department store that is just across the road from where I live, so I check the LEGO section quite regularly

Five boxes of Disney figs got placed out yesterday morning and I grabbed a handful after some quick smooshing. Went back after a movie, grocery shop and lunch and there was one box left with about six bags. Sure it's possible that some guy cleaned the store out, but I think the Disney tie-in has created some major hype. Will be interesting to see how much supply we get down here in Australia.

These always sell out quickly on LEGO Shop at Home and will be in full force everywhere as usual.

yes - but not day 1.  normally i don't go too heavy on the minifigures but i may load up on these.

I was able to pick up almost 2 complete sets at Chapters. I found them hard to smoosh this time, so hopefully I'm right. Dropped by TRU - they had a ton of boxes out with a hoarde of people surrounding it smooshing lol. My sister's friends who have no interest in lego want these figs too, so I think it'll be pretty popular!
