I just went to my local TRU and saw an almost-full box of Disney CMF alongside a decimated box of Series 16

This debate is a remake of the Series 15 debate. And the Series 14 debate. And the Series 13 debate. (Not the Simpsons series though - nobody actually cared enough to smoosh those awful angular heads.

  • But you didn't post a deal.. You posted some vague reference to a potential deal we're apparently not thinking about correctly. I'm trying to say it politely, but you aren't exactly being helpful. A

Disagree.  LEGO Shop at Home said to check back in late fall.  Why would they promise something they cannot deliver?

Theres no promise.
Fine, call it a statement.  Why would LEGO made a statement to give people hope of future availability and not deliver ?

I'm thinking the same. Same thing happened with scientist set.

Look at the technic porsche set, meant to release June 1st online, lots of people placed order and only just received their orders.

On tge lefo website it gave multiples of delivery dates in june/july/august.

They can write whatever they want to be honest, the lego set page is not a legal binding contract which lego has to meet.

Nope, but they might as well not put anything on the S@H page. They should get a lot of complaints since the DCMF sold out very quickly.  By stating possibility of future availability AND not delivering, they would surely draw more ire from parents and Disney fans.

Disney CMF is so June. Series 16 is the new hotness.

They're so BIG, I really doubt they'll care what a few hundred complaints or so they get about it.

What message I'm trying to get to the boys/girls out there is that if u dont have your series 1 DCMF quota done yet better hop to it. Better to get it now than hope for the best later.

I'm really thinking they'll retire series 1 and roll out series 2. Fall goes into February so who knows by then.

Once you get a complaint from one of those Disney fans, you never want to get a single complaint from them EVER again

ETA: Seriously, LEGO did care about the fans. Otherwise the necks of Wall-E sets would still be problematic ;)

I'm curious, do any of you still see these? If so, what store and what city?

I've only seen these four times since release. Twice at the Target in Alameda, CA, and twice at the TRU in Emeryville, CA. I haven't seen any for about two weeks now.

in Idaho, every time I drop off or pickup from the storage unit

BTW, thanks for all this people. This just reminds me I still have to get that box sorted. Is it just me or does it seem that these pieces in these bags are getting tinier and near impossible to decipher. Is that a gem or a head?

I was just thinking. They say check back with them late fall. Let me finish they're paragraph.

... When we officially announce its retired.

I keep wanting to bug the orthopedics guys at work to borrow the fluoroscopy machine (it's like a real time X-Ray scanner hooked to a TV monitor). I'm convinced you'd be able to see all the details inside the bags in an instant.

WHAMO!

What am I missing here? What's the angle for them to say this and then not deliver? They could just not have any message. Sold out with nothing more is still a thing.

See, here's a couple right here...

An order of 60 got me 60 loose without the Disney case even.

Just to give an update. I'm still smooshing but this is not an original case. This is a bunch of bags thrown together. There wasn't supposed to be 6 of any in a case of these but there is or at least I think there is. I might try that weighing method as a last ditch effort for peace of mind. I have one of those little super sensible scales here somewhere.

My guess is @jaylay is hoarding 90% of Disney CMF packs that were allocated to his area :shifty:

Haha. I actually got none over here. That's why I asked help from you guys earlier on.

Havent shop at home US put this message up before for ewok village which did come back, leaving me to assume the figures will come back. Have there been other times they have put this message up and not got the product back instock?

On the UK shop at home site there is no trace of the figures, its like they were never on there.

This was also posted with Simpsons House, and I believe most Jurassic World sets from last year.  All came back.

PS had this and came back.

So it would seem there is a very high probability these will be back in late fall probably in full force with boxes stacked to the ceilings in anticipation of parents... uuh Santa wanting 2 or 3 for each of their kids christmas stockings.

Better to be safe than sorry, just because restocks have happened in the past, doesn't mean they will happen again.

I personally believe these are gone, I'm basing this on all shops around me (Lego store, TRU, even tesco and asda) have all sold out and said they are not getting any more.

In the designer video they said the castle minifigures will be exclusive to that set, so I don't see why they would want the same figures to be available at same time, my opinion is that a new series will be released.

However like everyone in this thread, we are all voicing our own theories/opinions, we'll find out who was right and wrong in the next 2-4 weeks...
