This debate is a remake of the Series 15 debate. And the Series 14 debate. And the Series 13 debate. (Not the Simpsons series though - nobody actually cared enough to smoosh those awful angular heads.

  • But you didn't post a deal.. You posted some vague reference to a potential deal we're apparently not thinking about correctly. I'm trying to say it politely, but you aren't exactly being helpful. A

I wonder if the Disney Minifigs set will follow the same course as the German Football team Minifigs set, and have a similar limited production run which has already been sold out.

If it does that's a big surprise.

Local 5 Below had two cases at the front.  They were limiting 2 per customer though in an effort for "everyone to get some" (their words on a note on the front of one of the case).  Got to figure it won't be hard for the Horde to find a way to "morally" circumvent that.

...and now checking out at Five Below!

Legoland in FL had a box at every register. And they have a lot if registers.

The only place I have a hard time finding these is target.

And Disney Springs (FKA Disney Downtown), I didn't see any there or in the Lego store.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and have only found these once in my two local Targets (Emeryville and Alameda). That was about a week ago. I keep holding out hope that this will be like every series where they'll be flooding the stores in about a month or two, but I'm starting to have my doubts.

Anyone know if there is any truth to the latest rumor stating that this series is sold out and done? Whatever is out there is all that's available.

There could still be a ton of these somewhere between China and here or on the docks of the west coast just waiting to be passed through customs.

I fear also that this is it. The only reason why we can't find them is that they're all being scooped up fast by everyone in the know. Plus The new CMF line is on the horizon ready to be released.

Sounds like "Sold Out... so fast that we're actually doing another production run, so check back when that's complete"

Isn't this pattern almost standard with CMF series? Would everyone prefer that there was product flooding the shelves up through the end of December for this line? I feel like we'd see 12X the complaints if these were perceived to be overwhelmingly easy to find as well.

I honestly think these had a smaller distribution. My local Meijer never got any and most of the online sites I use to get minifigs had strict limits.

Are you sure they never got any? Maybe someone just beat you to them?

It is possible but I go prob 3 times a week for groceries.  If they did, they didn't get too many.

Will the price on these mini figures go up in years to come?

Their production run has not completed so we have no idea how many will be made.  If they continue making this same series for an entire year, the market will be flooded.  If they are already done producing them and shipping out the last batches now, they will be more scarce and probably more valuable.  Most people are guessing yes, but there are too many factors to consider this early for anyone to give a definitive answer.

Spoke to the store nearest me yesterday to one of the girls who seems relatively informed vs. other employees and she said they are getting their last shipment of these for a while within the next week so if you want em, get em now...So looks like I got some smooshing to do this weekend!

A very well informed employee at a local store said the same thing. They are getting one more shipment in and that is it.
