LARGE LEGO DISPLAY DEAL: SERIOUS RESELLERS ONLY!!!

A long time acquaintance of mine, a Mr. Ralph Pitcher from Firebuy.com, has come to me with a tremendous offer.  Ralph owns an equipment liquidating company which was hired by Target to remove store displays from over 1500 Target stores from across the US.  These displays included many of the LEGO and toy displays you see in the toy isles of your local Target.  He sold thousands of these displays over the past 4-5 years, many to me.  LOL.  He is a first class operator and is looking to sell his remaining inventory in one or two large transactions.  Here is a basic list of what he is selling:

Lego Cars 2 - 144
Lego Gold Mine - 58
Lego Friends - 135
Lego Alien Conquest - 105
Lego Monster Fighter - 55
Lego Star Wars Pod Racer - 75
Lego Fire Truck - 109
Lego Heroica - 20
Lego Star Wars Star Fighter - 77
Lego World Racers - 61
Lego Police Boat - 11
Lego Legends of Chima - 4
Lego Green Ninjago - 44
Lego Red Ninjago - 4
Lego Red Ninjago NIB - 2
Kre-o Minifig Set - 43
Mega Bloks Halo NIB - 75
Kre-o Set of 2 NIB - 4
Kre-o Transformers NIB - 4
Kre-o Transformers - 8
Cars 2 Race Track NIB - 1
Disney Princess 5 Dolls NIB - 1
Littlest Petshop NIB - 7

Combined, there are over 1000 LEGO displays available for sale.  He is looking for $18,000.00(US) for the entire lot, which works out to less than $20 per display.  To those of you who are familiar with these LEGO displays, they can easily sell for $80-$100 each, with many selling for several hundred dollars each.  They are really some of my favorite LEGO collectibles and if you have the cash and the space to store these, you can make thousands of dollars from this opportunity.

They do take up space though, three tractor trailers full, so anyone interested in buying a portion of the lot or the entire lot must have ample space.  Ralph told me it would cost about $1500 to ship one container to California, so keep that in mind.  He is looking to unload these quickly (before July 1,2015), so it's possible Ralph could work a deal with any potential buyer(s).  His warehouse is located in Ohio.

If Jeff and I had the space, we would pull the trigger on this deal, but unfortunately we do not.  We are not making anything off this deal.  Ralph has treated me well over the years and has sold me quality products, so I know he will be a pleasure to deal with.  If you are interested and are a serious player, contact Jeff or I and we will put you in contact with Ralph.  Good luck.  Here are some photos of the displays...

So, these are located in Ohio?  Is there any way this lot can be broken up a little and offered up to folks who can pick-up?

Yes, they are in Ohio.  Ralph said he would break it up into smaller lots, but he is moving into a new warehouse and these need to be cleared out by July 1, so time is of the essence.  If a team of members want to put together a plan to unload all the displays at one time that would be picked up, I'm sure he would consider it.

This would be my next best scenario to one buyer.   I don't want to have to keep touching these.  Every time I move them touch them it costs money.  Unfortunately  our people won't work for Legos:)  By selling as a lot I am protecting the buyer.  No one else had this deal so you set the price for the most part.  I would think buyers can appreciate that.  I would also include the website and domain name Toysondisplay.com.  To the buyer of the whole lot.   I may even have a skid or two of shipping boxes we use for these displays.  Kind of a business in a box.

I wish to buy 135 of these. lets make a deal, bob hall

First off if I am responding slow I have had a lot of interest.  I apologize.   However I have decided to offer 5 of the Vader displays for an additional $4500 to who ever buys this lot.    Further more if you only want the Legos thats fine... Price is the same but you only need two 53ft semis (Which ship almost anywhere for $1500ea.  All the small Lego displays would fit in one 53ft trailer (589/24 Skids).  The other 315 (25 Skids)I am sure would fit in other truck. I need to confirm how much space would be left over.  I also have alot of parts from these displays which we sell regularly available to the buyer as well.

I still wish to buy 135 of these.

Is there any good way to lookup an accurate market value for these vader displays?

Is there any good way to lookup an accurate market value for these vader displays?

I have seen them priced between $1000-$5000, depending on condition. Being they are very rare and no more will ever be made, these are truly the best LEGO displays for investment I have encountered. The new movies will only help their value.

Is there any good way to lookup an accurate market value for these vader displays?

last four sold have averaged $1518 shipped going back to April.  Could Terapeak back further if you have it for last 12 months but should be enough current info with those 4.  5th one sold best offer , asking was 2k so probably in the 1500 or higher range accepted.

My concern would be the number of these things out there. Yes they sell high $$$ but how many buyers are there that are willing to pay that amount. This is a very niche market. I was always led to believe that these displays were supposed to be destroyed, so if they weren't you're looking at 1500+ of each one just from Target alone. These are not fast movers, so plan on owning for a while before you are able to recoup you're investment.

Prices have been steady for almost 4yrs.

I know the displays from Walmart are stamped "property of Lego", or at least they have for the past two years. Are these the same?

Just did a quick search on 'vader' & 'display' to pull up some results

Hi Ralph,

I may know of a serious buyer who has the warehouse space and money available... They are located in PA.

Is this lot still available and are you willing to negotiate on price?

Thank you and please let me know!

EDIT: And are the Vader displays still available?
