Any idea what set(s) these are from?

Featured Replies

I picked up a used bulk lot today for $75. so far i've pulled most of a 6383 public works, 6930 space supply station, 6073 knights castle, and a 6061 siege tower so I'm pretty happy with it so far. I have come across two pieces which I have never seen before that I am hoping someone can identify. the first one is a red 1x4 with "LEGOLAND" imprinted on one side. it is not a sticker. the word LEGOLAND is imprinted on the brick. I have found two of them so far. the other piece is a red 1x4 with what appears to be the grill of a car or truck imprinted on one side. the imprint is silver, and again, is not a sticker. its imprinted on the brick. I have found two of those so far as well. anyone have any idea what these are from? I have never seen them before. the lot is mostly pieces from the mid 80's, so I'm assuming they are from that era. thanks for any help.

The legoland brick has two entries (it should be the first one).

The car grille brick: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3010pb035u

That's a whole lot of possibilities.... I am particularly find of the car grille brick as I have one from this set http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=377-1 that I had as a kid.

Thank you, gregpj. That helps quite a bit. I should be able to narrow it down based off of some of the other pieces in the lot. I appreciate it.

edit...it looks like I have a 580 brick yard from 1975 included as well based on some of the other key pieces I've found. Thanks again.

The brick yard uses both of the lego land pieces and one of the grilles. Since I have two grilles I must have another set from that era on my hands that I'll have to hunt down.
