Even for our family buys, Amazon is sometimes the best and most cost effective option.

No discerning buyer would ever purchase from a 3rd party Amazon seller.

Most of what I buy on Amazon is from third-party sellers. Granted none of that is Lego.

It’s funny how ingrained one’s beliefs become even with all evidence pointing to the contrary.

He's not wrong. Any discerning buyer with half a lick of sense when it comes to LEGO would buy the same set on eBay at a substantial discount. Hence they are not discerning.

I guess Amazon.com inspires confidence as buyers know Jeff has their backs regarding scams. Ebay is still the wild west in comparison.

 

I agree with you (though eBay is far from the wild west even by comparison to Amazon. Buyers still have the upper hand on eBay). I just wanted to point out that the original comment is in fact accurate and not just "ingrained [irrational] belief".

Not really. Buyers are lazy. Has nothing to do with weather they’re discerning or not.

Discerning buyers aren't lazy.
