The winter village sets have often been listed at "retired" in the UK/Europe during the "off season" only to return in the fall/winter. Santa's Workshop was never listed as "retired" in North America. Rex is toast.
October 26, 20169 yr I'm guessing these will be the last Dino sets until the next movie in 2018, assuming they get the rights for that.
October 26, 20169 yr Those worrying about if the Jurassic World Sets are retiring, the answer is yes. The sets are not in the 2017 Wholesale Catalog. Now we have no ideal how many pallets of these are laying around at Lego, Amazon, Etc. And Scooby is done to.
November 11, 20169 yr Just popped back from 'retired product' to C2C in LEGO Shop at Home Europe. Last breath for this set?
November 11, 20169 yr If the attraction of IR is the 'kids like dinosaurs' logic. Will the new dinosaur Creator set coming in January affect the resaleability of this set?

No, the Creator 3-in-1 set is a very different range. A buildable dinosaur from common bricks is no competition to a moulded limited edition dinosaur 'minifig'.

November 11, 20169 yr I passed on these at a TRU in Burlington Ontario. They had all the the JW sets available in abundance. Not on sale though.
November 11, 20169 yr My local TRU (UK) had only 3 types of JW sets and not many boxes on display, no idea if storing room had stacks. TRU do not deliver this set via site ordering, click & collect out of 101 stores only 21 show in stock (without numbers data). Trying to find this set at RRP online (exc.ebay) is pretty much looking for a "needle in the haystack" in the UK from what I've noted.

November 14, 20169 yr Definitely one set with good prospects. The first ten sellers on EBay are all in pounds but there are not too many from other Euro countries and the price is ticking up. Could be the same as with RE last year as this set was pretty hard to find till it came back for that week last month at SAH.

This just retired as opposed to be given the retiring soon tag and already showing a 30% increase on RRP so assuming you got in at about 33% off in 3 for 2 deals, already looking at 100% before fees. Run up to Xmas could see this going to £150.
November 14, 20169 yr I don´t believe people saw this for much more than 20% off outside the UK. It´s you guys that are keeping the prices down, same as with Lonely Mountain.
November 14, 20169 yr That's very true - stock on mainland Europe was scarce this year. You could get them at 20 % of max in Germany last year until they vanished from everywhere but S&H. This year you could only get 15-20% of in Belgium... Edited November 14, 20169 yr by TigerG
November 14, 20169 yr These are very popular in Australia. We're very hard to find if at all and only really available from shop@home. Starting to edge up to 2xRRP on our eBay. If you passed on these, you may end up kicking yourself for it.

November 14, 20169 yr What significance does everyone think special moulds in a set plays into future value? With the dinosaur moulds it seems like even though IRB has been around for almost 1.5 years, sets with big figs / maxi figs usually have less per run when compared to a set without one? Obviously we don't have production data, however judging by the constant in / out of stock of the dinosaur sets especially IRB and DA I think new moulds could make the set abit rarer compared to other sets. This is all pure speculation, was just wondering what everyone else thought? I personally think this set is a winner irregardless to how much it has been horded, as this set is a high volume mover. It has constantly been in the top charts of amazon and other shops. Great set, great movie, great big fig, kids/afol love, high in demand must equal one of the best performing sets of 2016.
November 14, 20169 yr It might have something to do with why RE was shelved so quickly. That remains a mystery as it can´t have been such a poor seller.
