  • So to celebrate the strong exchange rate from USD to CAD ($1 -> $1.30), Canada Post delivered these to me today. So this works out to about $92 USD per set.

  • That only gives us 92 years to sell through our stock, perfect!

  • I just got my last 12 in the last 2 weeks, have 30 of these and I got them for $68 to $100 from Lego with VIP Points and Toys R Us with Rewards, etc. Now I am not selling any I am holding on to them,

Could be a difference between European and US boxes, when Mhd747 had 3 and you had 2. Thanks.

That's my thinking as well.

Maybe Rex has a wide stance....

Maybe he has a wider stance in the US, that's why only 2 boxes fit there, while it's 3 in Europe. Maybe he is in "election mode" in the US.

Maybe they made a new box :help:

Would you guys be cleaning these out at $90 at this point?

Thanks!

Nah, not yet. Target has them for about $39 on clearance at certain locations.

I would. I have never seen a JW set go below 30 percent around me.

That price will be very few and far between and will be gone in a flash.  The ones being marked down to 50% off will be gone just as quickly once the stores get around to scanning their clearance this week.

not around here. JW line just turning over to 50% around here in the SE metro areas and its after you get it scanned by a repricer, if you can find one. However, i would buy these all day at $64.99. only found one between 3 targets that show stock (more than qty 1)

Double checked the box and it is 3 in a lego carton

I think it's fair to say that this and the entire line will be done soon. Currently oos and didn't see it on the shelves at Lego store. I think only Smyths currently have them. This could well do well since I don't think this is too heavily hoarded and those who bought tend to be dino mad kids who will open. Cautiously in for six when it was on discount at Argos and Smths for between 20 and 30% off.

Pretty hoarded in the states. 170 amz sellers for Indominus and the rest have over 200 (excluding RE). I don't see a lot of demand this xmas, are kids still watching this?

I think the better question to ask is do kids still like dinosaurs?

Touché.

Recent sales in eBay already at £120 even though still not officially retired. If these are no longer available in the wild, could be a good one for this Xmas and bag a reasonable return for less than six months hold. Rather go for a modest 30-40 per cent gain after fees than hold long term for a bit more

Very much so.

Yes, that's why lego will have another dinosaur line, the only question is does this theme count or is their normal cycle for dinosaur theme just around the corner.

  • 2 weeks later...

I received mine today from SAH....box almost mint (could not say that about another shipment, incomplete as it were missing the goodies and a ripped Lego box from a different shop).

Now it is C2C..I am....the hoard :D

You can try to call them to get another 10... (was possible to me for Ideas Birds...)

This set has been sold out like 5 times already, it just re-appears the following week

Now Retired but then again that's doesn't mean much these days. santas workshop was retired earlier this year and now it has been resurrected.

The winter village sets have often been listed at "retired" in the UK/Europe during the "off season" only to return in the fall/winter. Santa's Workshop was never listed as "retired" in North America.

Rex is toast.
