you had me second guessing after post. spacing with two numbers might look weird 

I believe you are supposed to leave 1/3 of the numbers hanging on either side of that blue 4x1 with a cross in the middle.  The cross is supposed to provide spacing 

 

ETA: 77 is going to look weird because we would need to put the 1x1 brick on either end of that blue 4x1

I think they could have done better, but at least it's a source for a few macaroni bricks, always nice to have on hand...

If I wasn't told that was a birthday cake, I'm not sure it would have been my first guess. With closed top.  Not diggin' it at all.  Just my opinion.

I asked the girlfriend. She couldn't tell what it was.

I tried to get one at my local shop this afternoon and they were sold out.

They are readily available at SAH.  I really want to order these, but I am curious how long LEGO plans on producing these and how many.  Though exclusive, I keep envisioning them like a DDC type of product....gone quickly at first, then able to find them everywhere soon after release.

I can't even find it up LEGO Shop at Home website now.  I ordered 10 yesterday which are "IN WAREHOUSE".

​We could hope that it'll last a while being a generic birthday set, but the seasonal ones of the same type (Valentine's, Easter, etc) sold out fast, only to never return.
That said, I'm buying at least a few now.
