May 14, 201510 yr And we have to try to identify which is the "arctic supply plane" in this theme. I would think it's unlikely to happen again.. The Arctic Supply Plane had some pretty rare parts in orange and was based off a military aircraft. Based on a quick visual inspection, only the airplane in this set has a new part of significance - I couldn't find another plane that used this nose piece, it looks new. But to have your flagship set become the Arctic Supply Plane would be pretty silly. This set and the Deep Sea Submarine are my favorites.. the Exploration Vessel is neat, but we have enough boats nobody plays with in our house.
May 14, 201510 yr There's some interesting numbers for this theme on Brickset, not sure how much to take from them, but the number of people who want these sets in the Brickset community range from 944 to 1,512, except this set, where only 59 people want it. Wonder is it just an anomaly in the figures, or is it just that unpopular.

May 14, 201510 yr It was only revealed to the public a few days ago... the other sets have been known for some time. That's my theory. That makes sense, there was too much of a difference with the rest of the sets. I think the Deep Sea Exploration Vehicle will be the star of the theme, looks like quite a cool set.
May 14, 201510 yr Why there is a plane? Are we driving that thing under the sea? It's a passenger sea plane... Pretty sure they plan on landing on the water. Looks to be "somewhat" modeled after this plane:http://www.sevenstar-emt.com/projects/seaplane.aspx

May 15, 201510 yr This set is so large I imagine it will be a Toys R Us exclusive as they seem to have the larger ones typically. Based on a quick visual inspection, only the airplane in this set has a new part of significance - I couldn't find another plane that used this nose piece, it looks new. I was about to say this one but realized LEGO modified the cockpit yet again.
