be a mix of everything but no a lot is perfectly fine.  Some damaged,  some just the package is damaged but item is brand new.  They just get to much volume to keep everything.  They do try a lot more on AWD then back in the early years as they saw they could generate more revenue that way than through salavaging out.  If something gets returned from AWD then it definitely makes it to the load but still could be fine.  

They have no rhyme or reason just like in there selling platforms.  Can see hundreds of new video games, toys etc that they still are selling online at the same time but they just have such mass amounts they liquidate them.

Return loads can also have new stuff , they used to actually be about 70-80% new before they started swinging more clean buyers remorse returns through AWD.   But again they don't get everything or certain categories so they will make it on the loads.  

A lot of returns stuff still have a lot of value though so depending on what it is you can do very well.  Bought about 50k of DJI Phantom 3 and 4 returns last year that did very well and most all were used some crashed badly etc that still were profitable if sold the proper way.
