Kudos to Toys R us Canada. Received 3 Death Stars, and my Sandcrawler and Ewok Village today.  Death Stars were all

mint, and just one crease on the box of my Sandcrawler. Was expecting some bashed up Death Stars. These were the

Death Stars that appeared online last weekend. Used my 15% off discount from a precious messed up shipment.

I just received an order from Lego LEGO Shop at Home with some large sets, including EV, and they arrived in less than mint condition.  Pretty annoyed.  My order from TRU, on the other hand, was minty fresh!  So, I second your kudos!

On a side note, I picked up several 75083 - Jedi Interceptors and a lone 75102 - Poe's X-Wing Fighter (all MRSP) from my local TRU.  First time I've seen this set in the wild since just after Christmas.

Poe's is back in stock at TRU.ca if anyone was still looking for one (like @gregpj was a few weeks ago or so).

EV is a fire sale in Canada. If you factor in points and taxes, you are paying less than $230USD shipped. On the other hand, why would you want to pay retail for 75102? This one is being restocked everywhere. I'd rather wait for the 20% off.

I wouldn't exactly call that a Fire Sale when people in the states can get it for the same price with all their discounts.

Where is 75102 being restocked? The burning question.. will Poe's X-Wing make an early exit with the resistance (blue and white one) X-Wing on the way?

Regarding 75102: because I wanted it.  I understand for investment purposes, you would want to acquire it as cheaply as possible.  But like I said, in my region, this set has been scarce since Christmas.  I saw one, and I got one.  If I see it at 20% off, I will get another.  I have noticed a few places online with fresh stock, but it's currently not a reality in my B&M stores.  I'd be surprised if I ever got the opportunity to buy this set at a discount, to be honest.

I have yet to mention stacking some coupons and rebates on top of that $230USD shipped. The time to do it was 2 weeks ago when CAD was at 68 cents.
Regarding 75102, there are ways getting it cheaper in a few other websites in Canada aside from TRU. It is also available on SAH now, put the VIP and rebates to good use.

seems gone now.  Anyone understand why some sets don't show up on the site through normal search methods?  On the toysrus site, searching for birds does not exist.

No luck for me on tru site either.   Probably for the best as today has already been a costly day.  Thanks for sharing.

They likely have delinked the webpage internally, based on automatic discontinuation. There is no point in allowing 99% o the population to see out of stock shipments for which there are no further deliveries scheduled. This is likely a flag in the product database.

However, they don't take down the page right away, as that is not something that can be automatically regenerated on demand ( as in a human has to make it). Adding an existing page back to the website search engine is easy.

And as to why you see them come in stock in dribs and drabs, those are retail locations returning stock to the DC. (Eg we have 20 in Kamloops that aren't selling, transfer them back to the DC since they are sold out, prior o putting on clearance.
