After doing some calculations and looking at available stock and shipping cost.  Unless you wants these for personal use, X2 VIP is a better deal.  I wish I had gotten more trains and gingerbread houses.

Best thing to get money on a long run : Buy the mini Cooper at 119$ + tx + shipping or no shipping if you buy 2 ..

Modulars can sell right away for 60-80$ =  giving you lots of room to sell the Mini Cooper when time is come .. $$$

The Tumbler was definitely in stock when the promo was first posted on ToysNBricks, not sure if the Mini was as I didn't initially see it as part of the promo, that would have been an awesome deal. 

TRU is playing the same $hit as WM did .. only few of their item to attract customers .. than OOS, next day after the promo will be gone .. they will all be back on their crapy website with the magic wand of Geoffrey!

I did get a Tumbler right away. To get free shipping I added a couple of Fortress Smashes that I wanted anyway. I still think there is a chance S&H stays sold out and with supply issues this gets sold out at TRU and is gone forever...think Zombies! Might be wishful thinking, but crazier things have happened to TRU exclusives. I could cite Arctic set, too.

I also noticed technic mobile crane seems to be sold out everywhere now. Retiring soon perhaps?

Check shipping costs on the passenger train, it doesn't qualify for free shipping either.

Sorry, i should have clarified. It wasn't free but I ordered and it ended up costing me about $3 to ship. They gave a $25 discount for some reason.

I can't find the train... anyone link to it?  Never mind found it... not sure I like that train set.  But maybe worth it for the mechanical parts.

Palace Cinema will appreciate more - based on history. 

Damn.. this certainly is one way for TRU to sell out of most of their exclusives in 24 hours. MAYBE they will learn something from this! 

Now if only the DS weren't $600. Actually i wonder if they would PM LEGO Shop at Home since it is in stock..

darn it. couldn't order the train cuz i needed to go to costco and when i came home it's all gone. 

 

If anyone is interested.  Some of the new Technic sets have begun trickling into TRU stores.
