Seems like TRU is trying to squeeze us again. Airmiles e-vouchers can only be ordered in $10 denominations. No more $20 option available. Now with the online order system limiting you to 5 giftcard/evoucher entries I'm effectively limited down to $50 of airmiles cash per order instead of the $100 I was using.

Gotta love the lack of competition in Canada. Can you do this... order the item online, then take it back to the store for refund. Then buy it back by redeeming your airmiles in-store (I assume there is no limit when redeeming instore)?

Sure but its a lot of messing around though. I haven't tried but I don't think there is a limit on giftcards/evouchers at the register. I just don't want to be THAT GUY who makes the poor cashier have to punch in each $10 voucher for big purchases.

I also thought of using the airmiles cash to buy TRU $50/100 giftcards and using the giftcards later. Oh well, I'm almost suspecting that the $20 evouchers may magically re -appear after the X-mas shopping season....

Oh thats a good idea! Can it be done? 5x $10 AM voucher online for $50 giftcard?

Ugh... these things are already a hassle to use. Whenever i use them in store it always takes 50 employees to figure out how to use them. Most of them don't even know what they are and think i'm pulling some kind of scam...

haven't tried online, but I would go to the store so I have GC in hand right away

Yes they are a hassle, you have to 'educate' the cashier each time on how to key the vouchers in. I certainly miss the days when I could just order a small stack of TRU GCs right from airmiles. This was before airmiles cash was created to make my life both easier and harder.:frantics:

Nice, that's %40 off. Could be a clearance item that wasn't marked as such yet. Will check my locals.

Nothing that really speaks to me yet, got a link to the flyer by chance? Or was this info just posted somewhere.

Official flyer ( http://www.toysrus.ca/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=12027082 ) combined with some "inside" information regarding the list of sets at 40% off. If the flyer's "12 to choose from" is accurate, there would be 4 more unknown sets at 40% off.

It is going to be hard to compete with S&H's Gingerbread House given what it is already selling for, unless the four unknown sets are worth getting (seems unlikely).
