Anyone seen the 42030 Volvo Front Loader?

So I mentioned in a blog about Technic showing up in other stores that I thought it might be good for the theme. If Lego invests more money in it, maybe they will start licensing more of it like the Unimog. 

 

Well we have another licensed set. Volvo may not be the biggest name in construction, but its certainly looks like a push in that direction. Technic lovers love Construction - and I feel like they will love licensed Construction even more.

 

This is a big boy at 1636 pieces. Looks sweet too:

Hi everyone.  I am confused (not difficult!)

 

The LEGO Shop at Home site says 42030 is coming soon on 1 Aug 14, and yet I saw it today in my local store, for sale, in North Yorkshire England.

 

Am I missing something or do they get released to the street early, and I just haven't noticed?

 

They also had a 42029 pick up truck for sale as well.  Bizarre!.

Lego stores usually have certain available a week earlier than when it is released online. I have seen some of the new SW sets in my local Lego store and they are not available online until August 1^st.

Welcome to Technic, citymorgue.  IMO, it's the most underrated theme Lego makes.  If you ever have the chance, build the Mobile Crane.  It's simply phenomenal.

Lol I'm actually heading out to my lego store in salt lake city to go buy it. I've been eyeballing the mobile crane for many many months now.

It`s a beast! Definitely another one to put on the "must pick up in 2014" list.

Tumbler hands down! The angles of some of those pieces is just insane. I can`t wait till the 18th!

 

That said, this set is really impressive as well. But it can probably wait until x2 VIP points for me at least. 

It is a big set. Box is bigger than the mobile crane mk2.

 

and anyone notices that it has same/similar tires as the batmobile.

I can't wait to see Jurgens tricked out version. Then I will definitely be buying this one and decking it out.

I just finished the cargo plane and attached are a couple profile pics next to the Volvo and the mobile crane.

That cargo plane is even better than I thought (and I thought it was really great).

I was too late to get some with 40% off. It makes me feel ever more sad when I look at your pictures...

I absolutely love the Volvo. It's one of the most fun Legos I've ever played with. It's especially funny as the kids are playing with their loose pieces and here I come scooping them up and dumping then on their creations.

I freaking feel like a damn five year old lol.

For anyone on the fence, absolutely buy this without question. It's truly worth it's weight in gold.

I have a Volvo and it is a nice set. I can't wait to get several more.

I was contacted by Volvo to post a design video of the LEGO Technic L350F Wheel Loader. It's definitely an interesting video to watch. I love these types of behind the scenes and design videos.

Thanks for this interesting video. I really like Technic and in my opinion the Volvo wheel loader is a great set! Already got 2.. As a mechanical engineer this set is one of my personal favorites, but I really like this one also as a low volatile long-term investment just like the Unimog.

Yeah this set looks great and with the Volvo brand logo is probably a good long term winner to both build and for collecting or investing purposes. 

Great set for building, play and investment.  I just ordered one last week.  I should be getting it today.  

Already picked up one of these. Very impressive. Nice flagship set.
