SSD was not available for 7 years, that gives it a decent edge over DS.  DS likely has a lot more hoarding.  Assuming a similar DS set is not released (risky assumption), DS will ultimately top SSD, but that will probably take a while.

assuming he ment TRU.ca they seem to almost every current exclusive instock most of the time...  not sure how that happens...  they are like the target of canada...

Yes TRU.ca and Walmart.ca is what I meant!

Exclusives aren't cheap and we don't get things like TRU rewards. discounted gift cards or TRUTH, etc. Unfortunately, smaller pool of resellers to compete with also means a smaller pool of buyers at secondary market prices. Until this past year, anyone with some know how could get the DS cheaper out of country too since it's $499 CDN.

Longest term probably SSD but I would expect DS to double in a similar time frame.

DS will also cause a lot of regret.   Or so I was told...

I sure hope not... Target Canada didn't work out too well up here. No stock, crappy sales, 10-20% off for clearance prices. They had Starbucks, but even those weren't done right and were always empty.

I think the remake (if true) will hinder it...

Remake for rogue one?  Maybe...but there are two superweapons (suncrusher and slingshot???) in episode 7 and I would expect one of those first.

Timing is everything if no new set this Christmas and it is gone then it is gold
If it does not run out of stock and new set is better and arrives while this one is here
